Your lifelong dream is to become a super hero! Then you are almost the perfect match for this game! Well, you are the control room person managing the heroes, hire new and replace fallen ones. It wasn’t your fault that you send Mr. Underpants directly to his date with Dr. Death… Sure…

Play this Super Hero Management Simulator right now!

Lighthouse – Illuminate to Rescue!

The Compo is done and so is the game! Yeah. It was pure fun (as always) and like almost every time, I scraped the first idea after 18 hours…

Well, here is the new game, it is called Lighthouse and basically you have to rotate Mirrors to get the beam up to the top of the lighthouse. If you fail to illuminate the lighthouse, the ship will sail directly onto the cliffs. 10 Levels of pure fun and frustration! 😉

LD35 Post Mortem – Rescuebot

Now that the LD is over and it’s rating time, I sat down and wrote an extensive review and post mortem about the weekend. It was a really great experience, especially sticking with an idea for the entire time and not trying to shift (hehe) ideas during the event.

Because the post mortem is quite long, I’ll leave a link here.

Yeah, got the whole thing done, finally a LD without changing the idea during the compo.

About this LD, Post Mortem
This is my first LD where I stuck with the idea from the beginning to the end, yeah! I think it’s a pretty nice game, considering I am by no means an advanced Unity user. Most of the time, I had to look up questions on the web…
I stuck with the plan from the beginning to the end. I used most of the 48 hours, with almost no distractions. I’ve created a fun little game with good nice art, a cool logo and an interesting concept. I also like the map, and the increasing difficulty due to larger area of possible patient spawns and less patient health.
I slept not enough, which translated into the music and audio not being as good as the last LD, because I had to rush it a bit. Also, I spent way too much time trying to get the AI cars to work correctly. What stinks is my lack of expertise with Unity. I really need to develop more games…
