Menu screen pimped – looks nice and:

Game graphics also polished – time to upload the whole thing into the world :)

Still 5 hours to go – maybe I’ll start porting the game to android when “Death Hockey” is uploaded. In the last 10 hours the code quality went to hell – so many global variables and all the resources declared static. Uff :)

Code done, time to polish the graphics

Just 9 Hours left and so much to do… At least the menu screen looks already (fairly) good:

I hope that I can create at least 5 more specimen (which have to be killed in the game) with animations and sounds before the time run to zero!

Early concept of Death Hockey:

Kittens after all…

Finally, I found a way to bring kittens into the game – I also added a janitor, which cleans the bloody mess the player creates with his circular saw. Survival of the fittest at its purest!

14 hours of work…

… and this is what I have so far:

The game is about death being the most important part of evolution. Only the smart and fast species will survive in this death table hockey game, where the player has to smash all the “not survival” species 😉

After 3 hours of coding: the first screenshot!

The nice stuff comes later – so much work to do … uff :)

First LD is more exhausted than i thought…

My first Luuuuudum – I hope this is going to be a blast :)

CODE: C++ with cocos2dx (and own extensions, “thois2dx”)

GRAPHICS: Gimp, SpriteHelper and Pixen

SOUND: cfxr and Audacity for sounds. I’ll try to create some music with garage band – maybe it won’t sound THAT bad 😉

For maps/level and stuff: Tiled

Next weekend, can’t wait :)
