Hello all,

I will be participating this weekend in Ludum Dare 38. I’m thinking for this event all of the software that I will use will be open-source, including the OS.

  • Engine + Language: Phaser JS w/ Javascript
  • Editor: Light Table
  • Graphics/Art: Inkscape/GIMP 2
  • Sound: BFXR
  • OS: Debian Linux

Good luck to everybody!

I’m in and am looking for a team.

Hello everyone,

This will be my 5th or 6th Ludum Dare (I don’t remember), and am definitely looking forward to it. I’m also looking to join a team for the jam as a developer. I mostly work with HTML5 and Javascript, but I have finished games before with Unity as well.

If I end up doing the compo, these are the tools that I will be using:

  • Engine: Phaser JS
  • Language: Javascript
  • Audio: BFXR
  • Graphics: Piskel (pixel art)

Good luck everybody, and have fun this Ludum Dare!

I was able to submit but..

I had to start from scratch at 4pm, leaving me only 4 hours to get something in. But I did it, and I am sort of proud about what I was able to do in a short amount of time. I made a rotary phone simulator (in a very simplistic sense) in that time. There isn’t much else to it, but visit the link below and let me know what you think. I am ambitious enough to further development on this if anyone is interested in seeing something more, but as for right now, it is what it is.

Some Kind of Ancient Phone Technology

Starting late but…

I think I have an idea for the compo, but I’ll be getting some sleep since I’ve been awake since 4am this morning and I am very very tired.

Goodnight, and good luck to all this weekend!

I too, will be entering!

Using the same tools as last time, might need a better music playlist to keep me focused during the weekend. Trying to relearn C++ so that I can use that for Ludum Dare #37.

Good luck everybody!

Unfinished, but my Game is Submitted

It turns out that I won’t be able to finish my game in time. Unfortunately I was a little over-ambitious again. There is still a lot that I need to work in but at the same time I am sorta proud of what I have created up to this point so I plan on completing it within the next few weeks regardless.

Getting somewhere, I think

After working since 10am with 2 breaks since then, I’m calling it a night. I decided to give my game a more ‘retro’ feel and have improved on some of the artwork. Tomorrow will consist of adding new vehicle types to morph into, making the water/swim physics work, and polishing what I can before the compo ends. Oh, and I want to make this thing playable too.

Meh, I dunno

I’m taking a break, but here is my progress so far. There’s not much to show unfortunately, I’ve mainly been focusing on the core mechanics and animations which I’m no good at. But the goal is to be able to shapeshift between different vehicle types. The background will change into a 2D level map, and the vehicle art will be improved also. Slowly but surely, I will get something finished this time. :)

So ready for Ludum Dare 35, regardless of what the theme turns out to be.

These things might have something to do with how well I do this weekend:

IDE: Eclipse Mars with Web Dev Plugin

Programming: JavaScript

Tile Editor: Tiled Map Editor

Graphics: Inkscape + Gimp 2

Audio: BFXR

Amazon Music for Jams

Ludum Dare 35 – Available for Group

Hey guys! I’m definitely in for LD35 and am available for doing it solo, or with a partner/group as a programmer. I have been working with Unity + C# a lot lately, but also have done HTML5 web games before in the past. Let me know if you’re interested or have any questions!

Change of Plans.. again

Despite there being only 8 hours left in the compo, I can’t seem to stick to just one idea and go with it. So I’m going to start completely over and make a much smaller game that I have in mind (less art, but hopefully better playability) and hope that I can finish it in the time we have left. Wish me luck!

Well.. it’s something

Yet Another “I’m In” Post

Hi everybody!

I’m definitely in and super pumped about this next Ludum Dare coming up next Friday the 11th. I have the weekend off work so I will be coding it up straight through the weekend (except for a few breaks and sleep and stuff, etc.).

I am in the process of creating my very first own game engine from scratch, but it’s very much in the development phase and nowhere near completion so I will be using the Unity engine this time, as I have the most experience and confidence using that engine. Good luck to everybody out there!

Engine: Unity 5.2.3 w/ VSCC

Graphics/Art: Inkscape/Gimp 2

Audio: BFXR

Language: C#

I’m in for the MiniLD again, and I have got so many ideas that I want to try. I think I might actually attempt something involving Dyatlov Pass, or something like that, I dunno. I’m feeling ambitious. Also, I will be using Unity as usual.

This is where I will be stationed at for this weekend. This will be my first jam so I’m stoked! Good luck to everyone out there!

I’m totally in!

Hello everybody,

Just wanted to announce how thrilled I am for the competition coming up in a few days. Usually I fly solo, but I found an awesome team that I will be teaming up with for the 72-hour jam. I will be using Unity 5.1.2 Personal along with some snackage for fuel. Good luck and have fun, everybody.
