A tip to you jammmers, if you are going to be on a LD do not do as we do and stay up to 3 in the mornig to get the theme and try to work after that. Get some sleep and when you wake up you can start then. You will still have as much time as every one else, they will sleep when you work usualy becouse of the time diference.

We are in!

PSA About Unity controls

I have noticed a lot of peole complaining about lack of suport for varius kind of keyboard configurations, so I thought I should make a post about this.

Alot of Unity games use Unitys built in Input system like this: “yAxis = Input.GetAxisRaw(“Player1AltYaxis”)”  (from my LD game)

This means that when you start the game after it’s built there is a tab called “Input” (it’s allways there).

INPUT

You click on it and then you find the movment keys/Shoot keys or whatever you want to change.

Pre

Dubble click on it and it will ask you to chose what key you want for that command.

While

And then you are done, chose whatever key you like.

Post

I hope this post will help you. Go and enjoy the great LD32 games now :)

Question about unity

Hello. This is the first LD I’m doing but I have a question about unity. I’m currently studying programming at a school so all computers have the Educational license for unity. So my question is if it’s ok to use that version for LD? I have tried to install the free version but it still has the “For educational use only” watermark and says Unity Education (64bit).

I’m in and I’m a robot… err Human

This is the first Ludum Dare I have been on. I’m working on another game with a group for a project, but I can spare one weekend. :)
