Thinking of something inspired by the epic “Legend Of The Galactic Heroes“, combined with some space adventure elements like “Faster Than Light”. You explore the galaxy and command battles from inside the control room of your ship!

Finally finished all the narcissistic screenshot-taking! So here is my LD36 entry: Chronos Gear

As Chronos, the god of time and the first of the machines, you must incorporate more and more matter into yourself until it all comes crashing down.

…time to start playing games!

It Looks Like A Thing!

I’m back for my 10th consecutive Ludum Dare!

It’s been 3 years, and after drudging through it alone all these amazing, sleepless weekends, I don’t want to do it alone anymore.

If there are any lonely artists outs there who want a friend who’ll do their dirty-programming-work for them, send me a message!

Post a reply here or email me at: tonytheholychicken@gmail.com

I don’t bite!

About me, I’m 24 from Vancouver Canada and I use Unity C#. I’ve always done my own art before but I spend too much time on them that I’d rather spend on coding gameplay!

Here are some of my better Ludum Dare entries:

tldr I’m looking for an artist to work with, post a comment if you’re interested

Shapeshift Infantry Formations!

Posted by
Saturday, April 16th, 2016 2:06 am

You command a team of infantry! You …shift… them into different formation …shapes… to best counter the enemy!

Here’s a concept done in Inkscape:

For this one I’ll be using Unity3d/C# and Inkscape for art.

No coding so far, its 12am might be a good time to sleep for the first night and get on it tomorrow.

Good luck everyone!

Nomads! Grow your horde!

No coding yet… just a concept art to see what the idea looks like.

Lead your tribesmen and goats across the steppes. Grow your horde by trade or conquest!

…for now…

When I have a really good idea I’ll start doing stuff.

Until then I’ll watch some Fargo Season 2 and enjoy my 48 hours of peace and quiet. How often do you get a whole weekend all to yourself anyway?

Have we grown up…?

Hey everyone, it will be my 7th Ludum Dare this time around.

Recently I’ve been feeling like I’ve forgotten what it was like to play games when I was little.

Nothing seems quite as enjoyable as they used to. Life is somehow more serious now. And with every Ludum Dare I feel my work is less creative than the last.

I think I’ve forgotten what makes things fun and I don’t know how to remember it again.

Ugggghhh it’s 2am the night before Ludum Dare… stop moping and go to sleep >_<!!!

Tomorrow I’ll be using:

  • libGDX Framework (Java)
  • Inkscape for vector art / Paint.NET for pixel art
  • Audacity for audio

Good luck everybody!

Loli with Gunblades?

Spent five hours brainstorming + three hours drawing our main character in Inkscape:

Aaaand no code so far… bollocks.

Not very optimal use of my time but I’ll assume enemies and environment won’t take this long to draw and coding should be pretty quick.

I wanted to do a story-focused game but for this theme I can’t come up with anything.

It’ll just have to be a weaponized loli this time…

Lets make something cute and sad!

Welp, I’m back for my 6th Ludum Dare!

I really wanted to finally do a nice story this time,

something cute, heartwarming, something sad, something like my second game “One Wing”…

but… Unconventionall WeaponsD: !!!

It’s just begging to be some bloody bear chainsaw massacre business.

No. I’m not gonna do that this time :[

I’m going to think of something cute and sad anyway!

Sooooo, as always…

I’ll be using

  • Unity 5!
  • Inkscape/Paint.net!
  • Audacity!

Aha it’s already an hour in GOOD LUCK

After 18 hours of dicking around I finally have something to show for it…

I wanted to make a puzzler at first, but I think I’ll try go for story-telling and hopefully some emotional impact this time :]

“Metro Lancer” – DAY 1

Posted by
Friday, April 25th, 2014 11:05 pm

Hours Passed: 5

Local Time: 10:54PM

Fatigue Level: 5%

Art/Code Completed: 10% / 5%

Just spent the last 4 hours or so working on the art style. Minimal coding so far except a basic project setup and Animation class.

My strategy right now is to keep the complexity to a minimal. No need for much collision for this game except floor and roof. More could be added at the end.

Right now I’m just trying to decide whether to keep working until I drop or go to bed…

Concept- “Metro Lancer”

Your mission to blow up enemy positions from the underground metro system. Your equipment allows you to ride the tracks, as well as detach any time to fight mid-air.

Fight through the enemy underground defenses to get beneath their aboveground positions!

Concept art so far:

One Wing: A game made in 10 Hours

Posted by
Sunday, December 15th, 2013 8:34 pm

Haha! if you thought I couldn’t finish a game in 10 hours!

Well if you didn’t know… I did nothing for the first 36 hours (*ahem* slacker *ahem*), and only got started when I woke up this morning.

The result? Well, I wouldn’t change this for the world:

A game about the unfairness of the world. Or just something short and cute.

You are an angel with only one wing.
In the end… do you have a choice, or don’t you?

And good job everyone! Looking forward to playing your games!
