Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it! To everyone else, happy Wednesday!

I made a Christmas-type game so I thought you might have fun playing it while the mood is right.

A small post-mortem: I had a ton of fun making this game. It was a little difficult since it was finals weekend but I still managed to finish on time :). I didn’t have time to add much of a story or music or sound effects but I’m proud of the pixel art and the code is pretty good. I also liked working in a really low-resolution. It makes everything just a tiny bit harder and forces you to think about very small details. I might write another post on some specific things I’m proud of code-wise like the randomly-generated bullies.

tl;dr Yes the game is short and silent but I actually worked pretty hard on it.

Have fun!

I’m in. It’s the weekend before finals week so I’m gonna try to finish early. This is going to be my second compo, third time participating (I did the LD24 jam and the LD27 compo) and hopefully it will go better this time.

Language: Java

IDE: Eclipse

Audio: Bfxr

Art: Paintbrush

So I made a game for the compo in about 10 hours (way less than I anticipated) and I’m pretty proud of it.

The game is about hacking and riddle-solving. It’s kinda short but it’s actually really hard to come up with good and *unique* passwords.. haha

I made it from scratch using Java and used Eclipse (IDE) & Paintbrush (pixel-editor).

You can play the game HERE.

This is my first compo entry and I hope you guys like it! :)

My first LD Jam! :D

I finally got around to participating in Ludum Dare, so here it is!
I would’ve submitted for the compo (since I actually finished in time for it), but my friend made the music.

It works on Mac OSX for sure, but for windows, you HAVE TO LAUNCH IT FROM COMMAND PROMPT. Otherwise it works just fine :)

Here’s the link to the post:

I used eclipse (Java) and as3fxr  (Select sound) http://www.superflashbros.net/as3sfxr/
