And so this LD comes to an end.

I have to say I did not think I would make it in time, but I did! And I’m quite happy with the result, considering I’ve never used Lua or LÖVE before I think it went kind of OK.

I would have liked to spend a tad more time with the graphics, but aw well, it will have to do.

Last time I used Java and it was an utter failure! This time is going to be different, Ruby is, despite what some may think, very good for quickly creating games! So watch out ludum darers, this will be awesome!

Second time for me, and this time will be a whole lot better!

First off, I will be at Free Lunch Design in Gothenburg, Sweden. Awesome!

Last time I used XNA but I felt like it was too much of a hassle for people to download and install the game. So this time I will be using Java and lwjgl so that it can be run in a browser as an applet!

This is pretty much the stuff I will use:

  • Java
  • Netbeans
  • LWJGL
  • Slick2D
  • Paint.NET
  • sfxr
  • some home made music? We’ll see what fits the game!

The source library I’m using is just a basic helper library that has some functions for handling scenes, menus and stuff.

I’m also in!

I’ll be using XNA… I thought about doing something with Java and Slick2D first. But I’m not yet comfortable enough in that to finish a game in 48h so I’ll stick with XNA.
