Adding a tutorial

Some people complaint that the game was hard to understand, to solve that I have added a small tutorial info at the beginning of the match.

I also added a key to remove the Postprocessing effects, it improves the framerate a lot in old computers.

I managed to create some basic gameplay. The game is asynchronous, one player controls a ship using the keyboard and the other controls a planet using the mouse.

The problem is that every player has only 10 seconds of “camera time”, then the camera swaps to the other player. However players can play also if the camera is not on the screen.

Added the Asteroid belt

I have created an asteroid belt in the middle of the map, if players stay there they will be destroyed.

I also added a noise texture to the board with some specular light and the effect is amazing, really realistic. I also put some basic frustrum culling and the framerate skyrocketed.


Working in the gameplay now! The graphics are closed, the problem is going to be the AI, :(

And I dont have any gameplay yet… shame on me. I want to do something with traveling through space in 10 seconds at the speed of light, or using the communications delay of 10 seconds but I cant see it yet.

I wanted to do something in WebGL with planets and became inspired by some HUD designers.

The game will allow you to set rally points and advance the game in blocks of 10 seconds. Here is one screenshot, but no gameplay yet.

I’m running late but I’ve made a list of all the meanings I could get from the theme:

  1. 10″ to fulfill a goal
  2. Sucesive rounds of 10″
  3. 10″ to watch the results of your actions
  4. Something changes in the world every 10″
  5. There is a 10″ delay in your actions
  6. Something only last for 10″
  7. 10″ is part of the story, not directly related to gameplay

I guess I will take two from that list and go with it.
