Not sure what tech stack will be the weapon of choice this weekend, it all depends on the theme. Either

cocos2d for iphone,

cocos2d for osx,

or some ouya goodness.

With less than 12 hours until the game making insanity begins it is time for the #LD48 preflight checklist:

  1. Stock up on food and drink
  2. Double check supply of caffeinated beverages
  3. Verify that hosting solution is up and running
  4. Final toolset check
  5. Mow the lawn
  6. Try to take a nap

Unfortunately this LD we have a bit of a distraction to deal with. We were caught by the App Store release date bug and Omegapixel ended up in the store a week early. So we will be sending out press materials while we build our LD entry. However, our loss is your gain. We set the app to free so all LD-ers can go play it for some pre-LD relaxation. Enjoy: (quick rundown of OP: retro, 8-bit, 80s, smashity smash smash, teleportation, wtf)

We are joining the Jam for the second time. We were pretty happy with our game from last jam, but we learned that iOS is a bad platform for Ludum Dare if you want people to actually play your entry.

This time we will likely be using CraftyJS so more people can play whatever it is that we end up with. We’ve never built anything beyond a simple prototype with CraftyJS before so there may be explosions.

We will be live blogging (and possibly streaming) the jam over at our blog. We will also be posting builds of the game as we jam so more people can laugh at us.

We took our Ludum Dare 22 Jam entry a bit further than expected and turned it into a full game. It is now available on the App Store as a universal app:
