Hi everyone, just dropping by to give you guys a quick look at what we’ve done so far. I’ve done the first set of sprites for the character, as well as the first boss encounter (see our previous post for clarification), while my brother is hard at work with making all of this business actually move around and be playable. It seems to include some sort of math and text and stuff..

As you can see above, the first boss is just a zombie version of the player, the weapon you take away from killing him is a throw-able head.

So great to see what everyone is working on, so much awesome stuff!

Due to timezones (and the neverending desire to sleep in), we are now finally getting into the swing of things. One of us will be doing the programming, while the other takes care

of the art side of things.

The idea we’re going for is a conventional side scroller/beat ’em up kind of thing, with each screen being a new boss fight.

Where the theme comes in is that after defeating a boss, you end up taking a part of them to use as your weapon in the next fight; i.e. the head of a zombie,

the gun arm of a robot, the tail of a dragon and so on.

So I guess it’s time to get the coffee brewing, the twitch streams streaming and the good times rolling!
