I had to make a movie poster in Photoshop today… Hype took over from there…

Ludum Dare: The Game: The Movie
I’m maybe kinda sorta am in?
So here’s the situation, I have work on Friday and Saturday and I am starting my trip to Florida on Sunday… LET’S DO THIS ANYWAYS!
I’ll be burning my sleeping hours and whatever free time I have making a game using:
- GameMaker: Studio.
- Aseprite.
- cgMusic.
- Bfxr.
- A laptop I’m borrowing from my brother.
That’s it! Don’t expect a finished game from me, but I’ll try my hardest!
Good luck to everyone!

So I guess I’m in for like the 7th time or something. I’m starting to feel old haha. It’s still unclear what exactly I’ll be doing, as I may do the jam with one of my friends. If I go solo, I’ll be tinkering with:
Engine: Game Maker: Studio
Graphics: paint.NET
Sounds: sfxr & Mario Paint (Not kidding, using it to create basic tracks to then convert to a midi file. Then I’m going to throw said midi through some programs and sound fonts to hopefully make decent music!)
Anyways I hope you all have a wonderful dare! Remember to vote for two buttons!
I’m in as well, but this time, I’m going to be making my game completely on the road, as me and my family are traveling for vacation!
I’ll be using:
Engine: Stencyl
Graphics: paint.NET
Sound effects/Music: bfxr and cgMusic (Because I can’t make music for the life of me…)
And that’s all! Good luck everybody! And remember to have fun!
~Yukon W.
I’m in! I might as well be, seeing as my life has been completely empty and awful for the last few weeks… *shutters*
I SHALL be using:
Engine: Stencyl
Graphics: paint.NET
Music: Whatever I can figure out to use, like always.
I hope everyone has an awesome time this weekend!
Peace,
~Yukon W.
Ok, I was about to hit the sack when I remembered that I should post here! I just want to share what I’ve done so far and this is a great place to do it. Ok, so my game is about a evil king dude (Story subject to change ;P) who chains planets together (chain not implemented yet) and makes their inhabitants fight to the death (death not implemented yet.) using large objects and gravity as their weapons. Don’t ask me where that idea came from, because I have no idea.
As you can see, players will be trying to kill each other by throwing crates at each other. The game will be kinda like Towerfall in which 1 hit kills you and the game consists of multiple switching maps. Overall, I’m happy with where I am and I see myself as past the halfway mark. All I need to do is finish a few sprites, make a title and a few maps, implement death and a scoring system, and make sound effects and music. The only problem I foresee is making the music for this game. (I’m 100% not a musician and I suck at everything music.) Anyway, that’s really it.
Good Luck!

After staring at a screen for hours…
I bring you, [ ]! Yes, that is the name. Anyway it’s and arcade, twin-stick shooter and blah blah blah… Here’s some screenshots
If you want to play it and stuff, here’s a link: Butter
So yeah, Ludum Dare was fun and stuff, Good luck to anyone not finished by now or anyone who is doing the jam!
See ya!

Hey guys,
I’m making a game called “[ ]”. Yes it’s a weird name but that is besides the point. Anyway, the game is an arcade twin-stick shooter, here’s some screenshots!
Anyway, I will hopefully finish it tomorrow, I need sleep… If you want more info, here’s a link to my blog. (I’m to tired to write everything again…) http://www.yukonw.com/2013/04/progress-report-1.html
Good night,
~Yukon
