Let me tell you a story about how I came to be a programmer. It goes something like this:

After highschool - at the age of 18, the spring of adulthood - I went to university of applied sciences to study... some artsy stuff.
During these years I've been playing around with RPG maker and did some very simple but strange scripting in a language called RGSS2.
This sparked my interest for programming and soon after I had to put it in practice to fancy up my an art-asignment for my study: "Make a website design".
Time to get to learn some javascript to get those images a circle clickbox!

I’m seeing a lot of really cool stuff showing up on the blog and on Twitter!
Keep it up all, we are almost there and there is still a lot to do for most of us.

Don’t give up, keep hope and spirits up and pump out some real good music to keep you going.

Alright sweet, so I actually came up with a pretty fun concept that I like working on some more.


I had a though start where I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do but I think right now I’ve done pretty sweet work.
You play a catpil dude (to long+hard to write cattiepillowr..zzf?) and you have to eat to grow and transform into the next stage of life.

I realize that I should have been able to make this the previous compo but hey, it’ll work just fine for this one as well 😀

WIP_002 - Progress

As usual I’ve spend most of the time working on art instead of gameplay… though this is mostly due to the fact that I’ve no clue what I want to do gameplay wise.


Progress update 1

I just started working and figured I’d make some art while I’m still thinking about what the gameplay should be.
At the moment I’m thinking of a race game where you drive and fly.

A few LudemDares back (I think it was LD33) I came up with a pretty neat art-style which I’m currently also trying to make.
Not sure if I’ll keep it like that, but we’ll see.

WIP_001 - Progress

So I’m here again writing that one post that is making sure I’ve got something to do this weekend.

Last time I didn’t got my game fun and done.
So the goal for this weekend is to make something and post it again, since thats the best feeling you can get with this challenge.

I’ll be using my default set of tools:

  • Unity
  • Photoshop
  • SFXR

Lets make cool games and LEARN!
I might be using ProLapse to record my progress :O
OMG will be so cool!

Sadly I didn’t had much time this weekend to actually get my small-scoped game ready for the comp I use to aim for.
For a chance I didn’t had too much problems with comming up with an idea, just the execution was a bit slow at start.
I messed with some stuff to make grid-selection work on 1 collider in with iso-art.
Took a bit too much time so I switched to indiviual colliders per cell.
Also iso-art was new to me so I needed some extra time for that.

Anyway, I guess this will mean I’ll move to the jam (if I can even finish my game for that in time, due to paid work tomorrow).

Even though my weekend is packed, I am going to try and make a game in the spare time I have.

I feel this is a good oppertunity to come up with a real simple and small design with a minimum scope.
My other games always turned out to have a big scope with I never really finished at the end of the comp.

– Unity3d 5.2 (can’t upgrade yet due to work stuff, grrrr)
– C#
-Photoshop for art (I think I want to do something isometric art this time)
-Audio… I really should get that in this time, it adds so much! Probably Reason and SFXR.
