Here we are again.
More food pictures because it’s important to keep carbonated!
I don’t make much progress but at least the food is good 😀
Let me tell you a story about how I came to be a programmer. It goes something like this:
After highschool - at the age of 18, the spring of adulthood - I went to university of applied sciences to study... some artsy stuff.
During these years I've been playing around with RPG maker and did some very simple but strange scripting in a language called RGSS2.
This sparked my interest for programming and soon after I had to put it in practice to fancy up my an art-asignment for my study: "Make a website design".
Time to get to learn some javascript to get those images a circle clickbox!

Idea art
I just settled on a nice concept I might have time-boxed good enough. It might be still a bit too much work but I think this time I’ll spend less time on art and focus more on the gameplay itself. I haven’t scheduled in any music time in so I might still have to move things around a bit.
For now it’s time for some food and snacks, and after that I’ll start setting up my project and begin with some code
Happy 15th anniversary!
I’m totally gonna jam that thing.
I’ll be using the next stack:
Not sure what editor I’ll for programming.
Maybe Visual Studio Code if that has something for Unity.
I need to investigate.
I’ll also try to do a timelapse again.
Probably will use Chronolapse, haven’t tried it yet.
Is this a good choice?
Even when I didn’t completed my game by a long shot, I still had fun and did a bit of cool stuff.
So here is a (probably super fast) timelapse video of me working on stuff.
I’m stepping out of the jam as well as the jam.
I just didn’t had a lot of time to come up with something this time that was fun enough for me to make.
I played a long time with a set of features for a game that could have been fun but I was being to nit-picky with what I wanted to make.
The stress from work also didn’t help and just made me feel bad about it.
So I’ll just pass this one.
I tried making a “hunter & gatherer” game where you had hunt a beast for food like the cavemen did waaaaaay back.
The art was pretty neat I think but I felt it required too much of my perfectionism to work good enough for me.
The style was isometric.
I tried making an isometric game before for another jam but had the same issue with that it took time to make it look good.
I guess it’s something I should work on or avoid for LD’s 😛
At least I did had somewhat fun, even though I felt pretty bad most of the time since I didn’t feel I had enough time for what I wanted to do… Pitty.
For the rest of you that are going through the last few stressful moments: Keep it up, push on and soon you’ll be ready to show everyone what a cool game you’ve made and that you’ve finished! Well done and good luck!
I worked all day for the boss to make sure we can release Curve Fever 3 upcomming Monday.
This evening and night are going to be mine though! I’ll start working on a fun little idea I have regarding the theme.
I’ve choosen an art-style that’s probably going to take up most of the time but I’ll try my best to make it as crappy as possible to actually get some gameplay done this night.
The first day is almost over which makes me stress out a bit, but it’ll be fine once I’m on steam, doing my thing.
It’ll be a good distraction from the hectic and strict work I have to do for my job. I can mess around more so that’ll be my main goal for this jam.
Lets have fun!
Great stuff I’ve seen so far.
Keep up the spirit and keep drinking spirits 😉
At work we’ll release our new game on Monday 29th… But there is still a lot of stuff to be done and fixed and it’s gonna be super tight.
Tomorrow is the last day we can work on it and make it ready for the release.
If too much stuff goes to sh*t, it might meen that I have to work during the weekend :<
Grr I hope for the best, sicen I can’t wait to participate again, especially now I’m in my new home all settled and ready for a new challenge.
Lets hope we can have fun!
Sweet!
I fixed my black-sprites bug in WebGL!
Playable inside the entry page with the power of WebGL!
Have fun!
I just uploaded the timelapse of the creation of my game “CatKoonBut”.
It was the first time for me making a timelapse and it’s super cool!!
Halp!
When I first uploaded my entry with WebGL there were no problems.
Now, after I fixed a small bug and want to re-upload most sprites have changed into black squares.
Does anyone have an idea why this happens and how I can fix this? (using Unity)
Now also available as 64bit version! (Click here or the image to go to the entry page.)
For now you’ll have to download the standalone in order to play.

Oh my I finished in time and I think it turned out pretty cool!
There are still some tiny bugs and there is no real win-state.
Features which are just for fun and more of those things.
In the end I grade my game more as an experience rather then a game, so I think I can get away with most of these things.
What a great weekend, and great results.
Can’t wait to play load of those games I’ve seen flying by on the blog.
Good night, sleep well.
And I will see YOU… in the morning 😉
