I decided to see what time I would get on one attempt, here you go!
Also, if you get stuck this video is helpful.

Hello, I’ve finished my game if you would like to check it out go this link
I haven’t got much to say here because it’s all over there, so…
if(!somethingToSay){
FindObjectOfType<Bill>().SetActive(true);
}
Finally to a standard that I like, gah. Anyone else hate cameras?
The room is looking a little more homely, and you feel a lot less lonely with the new character controller and AI.
The grapple now takes all the characters.
Will work on the puzzle/story part tomorrow, for now I’m making more assets for the room (I’m using magicavoxel)
First off I coded some very simple follow AI so that you aren’t so lonely, then I made a grappling hook (Because why not? :D)
It’s all very simple and effective.
Then I started on making the bathroom, you may be able to see the character models too
Just working on my core mechanics right now. You can place trampolines, switch characters, and unlock them. (When I get the level made they will be spread out across the map, don’t want to say too much yet though)
This is my 2nd jam, I learned last time that people didn’t understand how to play my game as it wasn’t obvious.
This time around it will be much easier to understand, I’ve brainstormed ideas for each theme that I think will get in.
I will be using:
To people reading this; if it’s your first jam, what I learned in #LD36 is that sleeping matters, If you live in the UK and it starts at 1AM, don’t start then.
Saturday you should be making a game engine and keep in mind ideas for the game
Sunday you should be adding all the content to the game and making it as easy to play as possible, replace the placeholder art ‘n’ stuff like that.
OR: Ignore me and do it your own way like I did last time, everyone has their own routine and you need to find yours. This is what works for me!
Good luck on your games, can’t wait to play them all!
It’s done! I FINISHED a game in 48 hours, yes it needs polish, music, more objects, and music… but it’s playable!
This is probably my 3rd decent creation in Unity2D
All in all this was a great experience, being my first jam, time to catch up on sleep! See you in #LD37!
Oh! Heres my entry!
There it is! That’s my epic sick wicked logo.
But seriously anyone else struggling to name their game? :/
Sorry about the misleading titles, I got carried away.. Or did I? Ancient Ships? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?!?!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!?!??
Yea, you can build your own ships and customize them however you want (just kidding there’s many limitations like the fact that I haven’t made even a tenth of the artwork for building blocks)!
So, you build your ship, and you just kinda, play around. It was going to be platformer but the most fun thing about the game is seeing my messed up rigidbodys with stretchy limbs so I focused gameplay on that, added weapons and I’m working on more models to kill! You literally have no end point in my game, you just have a good time.
Good luck everyone else, Feedback is appreciated!
Just a little progress update on the game
It’s coming along a little bit, 3rd or 4th hour in now I believe.
You must have an energy pack, one either seat or wheel, and a thruster to be able to move the chasis. (floater)
Adding more thrusters increases the speed of the chasis. (floater)
Right now I’m brainstorming for more gameplay Ideas, right now it’s just build from only a few set blocks, I want to add lots more building blocks to make ship kinda things, and I want to make zambonies to kill with energised spears. Any other ideas would be much appreciated! Good luck jamming guys!
I kind of need a way to be rewarded for killing the zombies I make.
This is just a preview of what I have got done in an hour.
Modular vehicular transportation, all dev art for now
I’ve been using unity for what, like a few months, maybe more than that. probably more like 7-8 months actually.
Still getting used to things however, and I’ll for sure take part in LD!
