I’m in last min post.

Tech I will be using:

Engine: Unity 3D 5

IDE: Visual Studio 2015

Image Editing: Photoshop CC

Audio: Audition/Audacity

Build Script: Cake

CI Server: Team City

Various free tools off this site :).

Base code: https://github.com/wiltaylor/UnityStandardProjectPackage – This is just skeletons for menus, credits etc. I will also put my build scripts in here too later on tonight too.

Other Libs:

This time I am going to play around with 2 extra libs that look interesting.

  • Unity3D.IncrementalCompiler – This will let me write unity code in C# 6 which means I get all the nice syntax sugar from Visual Studios 2015.
  • Zenject Dependency Injection IOC – This is a IOC container built with Unity in mind. In my day job I am a big fan of Autofac so will see how this goes.

Will be using my usual setup of the following:

  • Engine: Unity3d Pro
  • Graphics: Photoshop CC
  • Sound: BFXR, Audacity and probably Adobe Audition
  • Music: FL Studio
  • Chronolapse: for time lapse
  • Source Control: Git hosted on github
  • Continuous Integration: Team City or Jenkins (undecided yet setting this up this week).
  • Task Tracking: Trello
  • Libraries: I will be using my standard starter project package located here

This Ludum dare should be good, I am trying to automate as much of the tasks that are not making a game as possible so I can focus on making the game :).

Postmortem Repair Runner

Well finished my LD34 entry. This run wasn’t to bad, I decided to give making a game in 3d a crack.

Think I need to put some time into improving my Maya LT skills but over all not a bad little game.

Might also be worth having a play with FPS character controls before next Ludum Dare too.

I created a time lapse here:

This will be my 4th Ludum Dare. I’m going to use the following setup:

Engine: Unity3d Pro 5

BuildAll Plugin – Custom plugin I wrote to make building multiple targets easier (I might actually replace this with build scripts, depends on how much time i get before hand).

Graphics: Photoshop, Illustrator

Sound: BFXR/Adobe Audition

Music: FL Studio

Source Control: Git and uploaded to GitHUB

Screen Timelapse Capture: ChronoLapse

Cafinated Beverage: Coffee

Base Code

Just uploaded my project base I will be working off here:

https://github.com/wiltaylor/LD31

Not much in the way of base code. Just a repo setup for source  control with VSUnity installed so I can use Visual Studios and my buildall package installed to help build for multiple targets easily.

Good luck everyone :).

I am going to go in again for my 3rd LD. Seems everytime I go to do a LD these days I have lots going on. This time LD falls in between changing job, means I don’t get the full 48 hours as I have to do hand over stuff for my old job.

Anyhow my setup with be the following:

Engine: Unity3d Pro 4.6/5.0 Beta (not sure which one yet).

BuildAll Plugin – Custom plugin I have written to make building to multiple build targets (sorry only works in pro).

Graphics: Photoshop

Sound: BFXR/Adobe Audition

Music: FL Studio

Source Control: Git and uploaded to GitHUB

Screen Timelapse Capture: ChronoLapse

This Ludum Dare is going to be interesting. I am in the process of moving house and the removalists are coming in the day after Ludum Dare. Also will be using a new laptop I only just set up too.

So a bit of Chaos but LD only comes up a few times a year so bring it :).

Will be using the following:

Engine: Unity Pro

Graphics: Photoshop CC

Sound FX: Bfxr, Adobe Audition

Music: FL Studio

Source Control: Git – SourceTree

I will also be using some build utility scripts I wrote that allow me to publish to drop box easily which anyone else can use from here: https://github.com/wiltaylor/buildall

Here is my progress so far. I decided to go for a game where you have to drill deep into the ground finding resources and dodging lava.

I also plan on adding monsters you have to fight but not sure how they are going to appear just yet :).

This will be my first LD so going to try and keep it simple to start with. If this goes well I will set myself higher goals next time :).

Engine: Unity 3D using the 2D toolkit.

IDE: Visual Studios 2013

Graphics: Photoshop CC

Sounds FX: BFXR

Music: Autotracker.py but might also look at a few of the other music generation tools.
