Hey ppl, I’m in for this LD. =)
I will be using:

Unity
Pyxel
Some random music generator (don’t know yet)
some random sfx generator

If you are an artist and is looking for someone to team-up, I’m up to. But I can only work for the compo dead line. Which means, that I need to finish it on Sunday.

Drop me a msg at, seththefirst@gmail.com
I can speak, English, Spanish and Portuguese

See you guys around.

My third LD.
This time, I had a friend to help me with the art side.
Was good, but could be better. He had no experience with art for games, and took us a lot of time, to have this on track.

By the other side, I feel that this my best LD product. More complete, with more content, and much more polish.

I’m in… but looking for a artist partner

Hi all, this will be my third LD. As always, I plan to work with:

Engine : Unity / C#
Art : PyxelEdit
Music : cgMusic + LMMS
Effects : BFXR

This time, I would like to team up with a artist. As you can see in my previous LD, the art was not my best strenght, and it took me a lot of time, to draw simple fishes or bunnies.
Is there anybody available to team up ?

As a team we would join into the jam, but I would like to do this in 48hrs.. Just like the compo.
Please, drop me a comment or something, if you’re interested.

Ideas, Ideas everywhere

Update after few hours.
I had a lot of ideas for the theme, and tested a few.
changed my mind after realize that most of them was crap.

Now I came up with a kind of hide’n’seek, inspired by gary’s mod.
Basically, you need to search for others which are shapeshifted into objects in the room.
Don’t know if the game will be fun at end.
But I really liked the idea.

Timelapse for Mac (OSX)

Posted by

Hey friends.
Trying to be ready for the next Ludum Dare, I’ve been searching for a tool to do the timelapse on MAC.
After some search, I found out that there’s no one simple solution for that, like we have for windows.
We only have one command line for that, which does not support multiple screens, and webcam.

Because of that, I did some home work, and found a way to do that.
I created one script which do that more or less automatically, using some open-source tools.

Basically, I do screen captures using the native screencapture
And webcam photos using imagesnap.

After that, I merge all the files using imagemagick
And to finish, I use the ffmpeg to create the video.

You can download the script here : Google Drive

You need to install imagemagick and ffmpeg, to be able to use this.

In the zip folder, you will find the timelapse.sh
At header of the file, you can change the parameters in the way you want.

After that, you can run the script, and press ‘E’ to exit.
The script will combine all the images, and generate the video inside the folder you executed.

Lack of a better explanation about mechanics

Posted by
Wednesday, December 16th, 2015 12:19 am

Hi fellows,
This is my first ludum dare, and basically first finished game.
Cause of that, maybe I’m a bit crude about game interaction with users.
I see a lot of people complaining about the mechanics of my game.

Seeing people playing, It’s pretty clear that the mechanics is not clear enough.
My bad, I know.

And I know that I should live with that, and do a better explanation in my next game. Anyway.

But what could I do to help people to understand my mechanics ?
I even have some things which people never tried.
In the explanation I tried to give some clues about it. But from what I can see, nobody is even trying.
Can I update the game, just with some images explaining the mechanic ?
Or should I upload another image into my game profile with it?
Not everybody check all the images.
I really don’t know what do.

I know, this is not a competition or anything like that. But I really would like to have people playing my game, and really enjoying it. And not complaining about the behaviors and such.

Please, Ludum Dare elders, give me some feedback about how to improve my game… =P

Finally, my first finished game ever.

So, guys. I think that I’m almost complete. =)

Basically, you need to mate bunnies to grow the population, giving them Blue Carrots. (You know what I mean.. hahahaha )

But you can’t over carrot them, otherwise they will explode.
(You know, nobody can handle too much blue carrots.)

You use one button to select the bunny and another to give the Blue Carrot.

Let’s get back to work… =)

After some art problems, I decided to change the scope a little bit.
Now, I strongly believe that I will achieve the dead line… =)

After scratch my head a lot, I finally came up with a nice idea.

Basic functionality and growing looks good. Time to implement the 2 buttons thing.

So good to be part of it.. =)
(Btw, how can I make my GIF to play directly in the site? )

Finally I will be able to participate.
I plan to go with:

Unity
abundant-music.com
voice recorder for android
and I’m thinking about make my art based on cutout of image stocks…. I still need to play around with it.

I really hope to be able to keep all my crazy ideas inside my head, and came up with a simple concept.

Anyway.. good luck to everyone… 😉
