I’m in!

I’ve been waiting to see these kind of posts on the other site…!

returning for a fourth time with a small team.

Myself – Alexis

I’ll be doing majority of game mechanic coding, and working along side the other members for level design and asset creation.

Quentin from Studio Hiro

He’s our lead artist and will be responsible for spriting, map development, and assisting in level design

Harlan – my boyfriend and his brother Ricky

The two of them will be responsible for creating the game’s soundtrack.

We have a STRONG idea of what we’re going to make based on the themes so far; but we’re holding off anything further until the theme is released!

Unity 5

FLStudio 12

Monodevelop (unless I somehow get my hands on visual studio…)

Super excited for this one!!!

Dear God. It’s Finished.

Even with everything written out, spaced out, scheduled, and even had work moved around. This game was to the wire…! There’s an embarrassing amount of sloppy code, lack of graphics, ¬†and serious performance issues but I got it finished. That is all I care about. This has been a hugely frustrating Jam and I’m not sure how enthusiastic I’ll be about the next one at this rate! Lots learned from this however.

Jam update!

WOW there’s been a lot of extra kinks that had to be hammered out before getting this far. I am SOO glad that I opted to make this a jam otherwise there’s no way this would have gotten finished on this scale!

My friend from Studio Hiro and I are planning on continuing to work on this game and polish it out WAY more than it currently is, and will double this release as a prototype of sorts for when it gets built in full for a lore he has built.

Story thus far:
You are a half demon going through an invasion simulation at a museum of ancient relics, However the elevator you use to get from floor to floor doesn’t work right. To continue your descent you have to fight through the defending constructs to gather mysterious relics that, and I quote, are so old; that no one knows what they actually do anymore. However; it seems that they get the elevator working again.

Hoping to add in:
Working shop;
Monument spawns and additional custom rooms
advanced AI with combo attacks and multiple kinds of attacks
Boss battle.

I don’t think much of this at all is going to be added.

Soooo much fiddling!

I’m almost happy with my dynamic map generation, need to work in solid room spawns and some designs, my animator/artist however has supplied me with a TON of sprites already! the beautifying portion of this jam is going to go so smooth in comparison ^^

Excited to be here again, with hopefully less disasters than last time!

I’m going to be entering a Compo with my friend who runs Studio Hiro; He’s going to be taking on most of the textures and animations as well as helping with indepth bug testing and lore building. Got the whole weekend blocked off; let’s make something amazing happen!

Engine: Unity 5
Art: Gimp (Maybe photoshop if I can get my hands on it) and Blender
Sounds: Audacity/Free audio sources as needed

Looking to make some mixed media rogue-like adventures happen, lets hope the theme fits well :3 Happy building!

Dropping out

Hey guys.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to drop out of this one… My lover of 5 years decided that due to his mental state he no longer wanted to be in a relationship… I have no focus, or even motivation to keep going strong on this LD. Maybe next time won’t have such a bombshell dropped on me.

So in.

Hello world,

I’m joining in for the second time in a row for this insane competition, maybe starting out a bit less ambitiously this time around…

Sadly my main computer is sick, so I’ll be running this show through my BF’s laptop.
I’m running Unity, Blender, Photoshop, and Mixcraft if I can get my hands on it again…

Can’t wait for this dare’s theme reveal!

Trying to work out a lot more the dynamics and add some additional ambient effects so it feels a bit more alive, but you have to admit, this is beyond entertaining!

Here’s one of the harder parts finished!

The segment-based design I was going for had way too many glitches in Unity, so I started slightly fresh, retouched many elements, and fixed MANY bugs. Texturing should be a whole lot easier now too. Now if the mechanics work the way I think they should work, this should go swimmingly!

Some progress!

Hello all!

First jam I’m going to attempt to partake in, didn’t know this jam was on the way until today! I’ve been wanting to participate in one of these for a long time now but I usually miss it for one reason or another.. If all goes well I’ll be gunning it for most of the weekend straight! <3

tool set:

Unity 5.x; Blender; Photoshop; Audacity (although I rarely get to the sound part…) and all mighty Google!

I primarily work in 3D, so kicking something out in such a small timespans  should be something else..! It may or may not be, depending on if anyone else I know is interested :P.
