I managed to get all the mechanics finished on the first day, so I spent today making our game more polished and I’m quite happy with the result.

Since I’m bad at art everything is white squares on a black background which ended up giving the game an interesting feel.

This was our 3rd ludum dare and we really enjoyed it, I will be attempting to solo it next time though :)

I’ve had very limited time for Ludum Dare this weekend so I’m not going to get anywhere near finishing, but I’m still having fun working on my game so I’m going to continue on it anyway.

So far, i have a collision map loader, a spritesheet loader, collision detection and gravity.

I just spent 1 hour making a player class and a spritesheet loader because pygame (the python library I’m using) doesn’t have one :(

I have very limited time this weekend but i’m going to try to make a game anyway. I have an idea of gravity being the weapon used against you in a platformer so i’ll try it and see how it goes.
