10 hours weren’t enough. So we leave this idea to rest some more time. We’ll do the same.

I’m wondering what could have happened, because we have lost one vote and one coolness when I reloaded the Ludum Dare page. Before we had 82 coolness and 51 votes, now we have 81 coolness and 50 votes. Wtf? 😛
Anyone else experienced this? Any idea? Anyone?
BTW you should play our game TOM-CATCH, here.
They say “Dead Cat Is The Best Cat”
Hi everyone, I would like to show you once more our LD32 game: Tom-Catch.
It’s a classic shooter game in which you play as Felician Squeakypants, who’s a dead serious agent. Professor Quincy asks him to deliver some blueprints of a secret weapon. Unfortunately these blueprints got stolen by Orlando Whiskey, a bad-ass Cat agent. Now Felician has to chase him, and take back a papers.
Please feel free to try it out and vote HERE
Post-LD Stress Disorder? Nope, just Tom-Catch
This Ludum Dare event has arrived to it’s end. I must say I can’t feel the post-Ludum Dare stress disorder, that I had last time.
We “finished” our game in a so relaxed way so I couldn’t be happy with that. Just uploaded the final build and grabbed a beer at 4:30 AM. I was so tired I couldn’t even think about what we did in the weekend.
But yeah, we made a simple game. Our take on the theme was to build the story around the concept of an unconventional weapon. This weapon is a giant robot dog that can finally terminate the war between the cats and mice. Obviously you can’t make a really big story in 3 days, so don’t expect too much of Tom-Catch. It’s a shame because I really like story driven games.
The logo of the game in fact is a dog. Some people who’ve seen it thought that its a pussy-tom-cat. 😛 No, it isn’t.
The protagonist is Felician Squeakypants, who’s a dead serious bad-ass agent. Professor Quincy asks him to deliver some blueprints of a secret weapon. Unfortunately these blueprints got stolen by Orlando Whiskey, a bad-ass Cat agent. Now Felician has to chase him, and take back a papers.
As you can see there are many art styles of sprites in this game. It’s because all of us wanted contribute to the graphics. Which is good. I don’t think that I could do all that stuff myself only. We planned more features and nicer cutscenes, but there wasn’t enough time for that. You must think in small on LD. We can never think small. Don’t know why.
But fortunately we managed to make a complete game, even if it’s limited in features.
I would like to ask you to try it our.
Another good morning, #LDJAM !
Good morning, #LDJAM, it’s day number 2!
4 hours and 30 minutes remaining
Yasss! We’re in again
I’ve been resting in the last few days by just playing video games and sleeping. Nothing more. Preparing myself for the next Ludum Dare.
I think we’ll stick with Unity 5, but that may change after the theme gets announced.
And of course we’ll use all tools that we find useful.
You can check out our LD32 game here: http://ludumdare.sakergames.com/
Have fun! Good luck to all of you!
Nixtopia Got Enhanced
Hi fellow game developers!
We have been working a little bit on the Ludum Dare version, to make it feel more complete. Fixed several bugs and added visual enhancements. These were planned in the LD version, but due to lack of time we had to skip them.
So here are the changes & fixes, feel free to try the game:

And of course, don’t forget to play and rate our Jam entry: http://goo.gl/d1gAZl
Thanks a lot!
Post-ludum-dare Stress Disorder :)
So we are in the calm-down phase of Ludum Dare. The last 4 days were unbelievable. Probably the next meme is for people like me:
I feel that I’m like drunk right now, but I had no drinks so far, only intensive creativity cocktails. Still no drinks. No, something else. I guess this cocktail is the whole Ludum Dare community.
I’m still shocked about how this massive creative power had concentrated all over the world in this weekend: More than 2600 games developed. Amazing. And we were part of it. I never participated before, and I haven’t even followed a single Ludum Dare compo. I think we must be thankful for all the community and the people who organize the events. Even if it’s online only, and we never meet personally, we still can feel each others personality in the games we create. Amazing again.
We made a game. A pretty simple, buggy one. But it is a game, it is “finished” and it’s ours and your’s whoever plays it.
Ludum Dare started at 4:00 AM Saturday for us. After when the theme had been announced some people refused to continue. We started with a not so good idea for which we wasted more than 24 hours of 72. Nice.
Wanted to make a 3D game with cubes that are levels in fact, that are in the same screen and players will travel through these cube levels that are rotating and floating in the space. Meh..
After we dumped all the 3D models created before, on Sunday morning we switched to some kind of 2D interpretation of the previous idea. Still meh. But at 3:00 PM there was the Revelation regarding what we really have to do. Okay, grabbed a pen and a huge sheet of paper and we started to lay down the basics of Nixtopia. After few hours of planning it looked awesome (at least in our heads). And then what came is pure miracle: we created character sprites, rigged and animated the character in unity, built inventory and crafting system, created character controller, created enemies, sprites for level and environment, items, pickup and interaction system, teleportation system, boss AI (boss is not included in current build), GUI, dialog system, music, sound fx in only 28-29 hours (we had to eat and sleep a little bit). As we worked on the new idea we got more and more excited about it. Of course there was no time to make everything as we imagined. But what we have now is a good starting point for a more complex, whole game. Thank you Ludum Dare for that! I’m sure we’ll ship a full version of this adventure game sometime in the future.
At half of the development process we started to feel that we’ll run out of time, but we calmed down ourselves saying “Everyone calm the f**k down, Ludum Dare is not over yet!”. It was funny, we laughed a lot. Summing all stuff this weekend was a Huge Fountain of Fun. 😛
I hope all you guys are the same proud of your submissions as we are of ours!
Speaking of our submission:
If you already played and voted it, THANK YOU!
If not, feel free to do so here: NIXTOPIA
Once again, all you guys and your works are amazing. I really enjoy playing your games.
Time for rest now, we earned it.
After a tiring 72 hours of Jam we finally managed to make a more or less playable game. It’s short, it has problems, especially with the graphics, because we had no time to finish drawing everything. Some of the sprites are just simple placeholders.
The reason why we were late was that we wasted our first 27 hours with a completely different idea, when we had an enlightenment on Sunday afternoon.
Anyway, the game is playable, please check it out, and rate if you can. Thank you, and thank you for all the community and the persons that made LD 31 possible. It was fun for us to join you and see what others create and to make our ideas become reality.
