Aaaaaaannnd: We are in!
In contrast to my solo entry in April, this time I will start with a team of friends. I will be accompanied by @Thunraz and xXBloodyOrange. For even more fun, I invited @KayZGames, but he will work on his own entry.
The tools:
HaxeFlixel
FlashDevelop
Aseprite
Cubase
This will be an awesome LD (I really like the themes in the final round) and I am looking forward to play and ‘feedback-friend’ your games after the event! Good luck to everyone!

Hi there,
Sorry for the late “I am in” post, but i had a lot of things to do last week for university. So here is my toolchain:
HaxeFlixel & Flashdevelop for code. Cubase and Massive VSTi for Sounds, SFXR for SoundEffects. GifCam for images.
As I am working solo for this LD, i will not be able to spend that much time on content. This is why I decided to do a textadventure, since they need almost no graphics (this is where i suck).
Most time until now ( 4 hours) was invested in creating a parser for content files. I could imagine that I will be using this for other jams. But lets finish this game first 😉
Well, we’re also taking part in LD33. This is the first time we are doing an LD with someone solely dedicated for graphics (Malvareth).
After the first day we have the basic movement and some enemies:
We are working with Unity 5 and GraphicsGale up to now. If my PC (probably a broken mainboard, dun dun dun) will still be alive tomorrow, I will use Cubase with MassiveVSTi for sound and Labchirp or SFXR for music and sound effects.
It’s very nice to see so many promising games this time! I guess it’s time to call it a night.
Hi there,
last morning and today i worked on the soundtrack for TOD (Tungsten Orbital Destroyer).
You can check it out here:
I used Cubase 5.5 (old but still very good) as well as NI Massive for the synths. Drums are cranked up XLN Audio Addictive Drums. For mixing i use the cubase plugins as they do their job really good and are easy to use. also I do not have that much time to spend on mixing. Reverb is the VoS EpicVerb, really nice sounding reverb.

We’ve now added the basic game logic. Enemies are spawned (manually right now) and can be killed by the satellite. Also there is a real atmosphere present now.
But I guess we need to tweak the bloom and lens flare settings a bit…
We haven’t decided for a project that is “too big” this time so we had some time on our hands. That’s why we thought of a little afternoon walk today.
So this is our “I’m in” post. We started this morning 10:00 German time and spent a lot of time thinking about the theme. “An unconventional Weapon” was definitely not our favorite and it took us two and a half hours to iterate over some ideas and to put them all together in the trash can. We thought about games like nuclear power plant simulator, a Defcon clone or some weird zeppelin wars game.
Finally we came up with the final idea we will develop now. You are in control of a satellite orbiting earth with an arsenal of different weapons that can be fired on certain locations. You are given targets to eliminate in a certain timeframe in which you have to eliminate as many “bad guys” as possible.
After first thinking about making a 2D game using HaxeFlixel we quickly decided ditch it and go for 3D with Unity 5. This was an awesome decision, since it has a really nice bloom effect. Everything is better with bloom. 😀
There will be a LD real world gathering in Nürnberg germany. The location is Coworking.

Hi there, just one quick question. Is there a way I see the list of games I have rated after the rating period? Looking for one of that awesome games and cannot remember it’s name.

Greetings traveler!
with LD31 having taken place about a week ago I thought it’s time for a recap and why not do a postmortem?
Play Frenzy Snowman Smasher here
Greetings traveller!
for our JamEntry FrenzySnomanSmasher There is a Timelapse video availible on Youtube.
We also added an ultra hard version with insane difficulty, since many players told us that the game would be too easy. I hope this is ok with the rules, since we changed only 3 numbers fo doing that.
Best an happy voting!

Greetings travelers!
Frenzy Snowman Smasher is finished. The attack of the allmighty (and unholy) snowman army has just begun. You can’t win, but you can make it hard for them. Please feel free to play and rate it.
Greetings Traveller,
The rough idea of the soundtrack for our game has settled down.
I wanted to have some retro feel, but at the same time make it sound modern. Also tried out NI Massive, which i got on black friday. Very versatile instrument!
Improvements will be made to sfx and mixing.

Greetings traveller,
As it is morning in europe (germany), we did not start directly with the LD timer, but roughly 4 hours later.
So after some brainstorming (theme is ok, but none of the very special LD-Themes, I guess) we decided to create a top-down shooter with only one screen, so no scrolling, only one level and no menu (apart from a small intro).
Player’s controls are working now, but need some magic number tweaking. Enemies follow the player.
More to come! (shooting, pickups and of course lots of juice)
Best, and everybody: keep on!
