Made a gameplay video of my submission

Made it for a different reason, but since it’s done, I’ll share it here. It shows the basic elements of the gameplay.

The controls are bad/hard, and it’s a bit slow from the go, but the pace goes up. If you want a little challenge – try scoring over 100 points. It’s quite hard, but definitely doable :)

My entry is now available on Android

gametitle

My “Space Snake” entry just got released on Google Play.

Mostly wanted to try the process out and learn something new. That’s what Ludum Dare is (also) about, isn’t it?

Finally done.

Wow, it took me over an hour to complete all builds, upload them, make screenshots, etc… Thought it will take 10 minutes at most. And of course the WebGL build doesn’t work properly…

I have over an hour left, lets add transition from menu to game. In 3D (the game is basically 2d), with Quaternions. Oh well, should have expected this outcome (git reset). Anyway, I’m done, going to prepare builds and get some sleep.

Having overslept…

… I think I’m with the boring route and recreate a proven concept – the snake. It fits the theme way too well and might not end up boring as my last entry. And I will still learn a lot :)

Hopefully will have an enlightenment when the theme is announced. Drawing blank for most of the final candidates. Won’t probably wait and will start in the morning. Unity3D again, will see what I’ve learned in the past month working on my first game.
