Janusz left his cave!

Finally after those 3 exhausting days we managed to publish the Janusz: The handyman simulator. The game about polish handyman who wants to help the woman renovating her room. It’s quite primitive as you can only paint and hang the picture however that’s all what we managed to do within three days – definitely will come back to this project!

2nd day summary

Another fruitful day behind us. What we have done today? RootKiller made a lot of changes in the whole game framework code to fix the stability and optimalization, added support for pickups, new sounds and soldier enemies – which can kill you :-), pcpl2 recorded few new sounds and made few very nice pickup sprites. The game is getting in shape!

1st day summary

It’s nearly 2 a.m. here in Poland and I think going sleep in a moment will be a good idea. But before that I decided to write short summary after the first day.

We have playable prototype which works without any major issues – which is an amazing thing!

We wrote a lot of code and made bunch of the assets. pcpl2 recorded shooting and hitting sounds and made few assets, I wrote a lot of the code – and have motivation to do much more (but writing code while you are tired is not a good idea)! I also did some drawing of enemy and player sprites. Bellow we present you a screenshot from our game.

My first LundumDare with the team – we called ourselves “Horny Peppers” because why not :-).

Language: Java (honestly – first project in Java for me :))

Trying again

Last time I gave up because i get notified about compo about 2 hours before. This time I know about the it few days before so I can prepare myself for it – still thinking about technology which I will use – html5 game or maybe standard desktop game based on technology which I will premade – we will see.
