Deckade Dungeon – LD28

A deck building game on the computer! Check it out http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-28/?action=preview&uid=20235 there!

Man there are so many features I wish I could have added. The idea is that you would be able to pick up creatures and each creature has their own ‘deck’ to unlock. It would be massive! Definitely going to keep working on this after a good break.

I’m in. 3rd time in a row.

  • #26 was a compo for “minimalism” (view entry).
  • #27 was a jam  for “ten seconds” (view entry).
  • #28 will be a compo!

I will be using:

  • code and animations: Unity (4.3 woop woop)
  • sounds: bfxr
  • graphics: one of the many free pixel edit tools on the webs or doteditor on ipad
  • music: pixitracker on ipad
  • stream here

Questions:

  • What do people recommend for hosting?
  • How are these hosting sites (kongregate, etc) when it comes to updating versions?
  • Are they ok with Unity games?

Apparently I messed up the last time and didn’t link the game at all! My bad folks!

Thanks for playing! Be mindful that it is quite short! My apologies for that.

It is short, but I hope the idea of the game is clear. We will continue to work on it and flesh it out over time (after judging of course).

Thanks

Love ya guys. I plan on using HTML5 this time instead of unity3d. I’ll make a post about which tools I’m going to use as soon as I know.

Probably will be doing a Jam though.

Sorry about that. I did weird things and didn’t think about people actually using my website.

A vast majority of my graphics work will be done on the iPad on the desk.

I’m in but for one day only

I won’t be able to use Saturday and I wasn’t going to join, but enough people seem to have the same problem. I guess I should just man up and join.

Tools:

Engine/Environment:

  • Unity3d (C#)
  • 2dToolkit

Music/Sounds:

  • bfxr, sfxr, inudge, audacity, guitars, loopy, propellerhead figure, thumbjam, audiobus

Graphics:

  • Pyxel Edit, Photoshop, btfont, dafont.com, others I forgot (I’ll add later)
  • Spine

Streaming and Timelapse:

  • Will stream to twitch.tv/roaet
  • Will have timelapse

I personally feel very uninspired by ‘potato’ and would probably not make a game based on that theme if it happened to succeed.
