I wasn’t planning to participate this time, but because I’ve got ill, I figured there is no better cure than rapid gamejam.

Late start this time due sleeping problems, and because I couldn’t decide which tools I’ll use. And that will be:

IDE: Visual Studio 2012
Lang: HTML5+JavaScript
GFX: Adobe Photoshop, Blender (but I don’t think I’m gonna need it for this theme)
Audio: bfxr, Nintendo 3DS (with Rytmik Retrobits installed)

I decided to make a roguelike game, with randomly generated content (levels, items, monsters). With each level, your opponents will try to evolve in such a way to put more and more of a challenge for the player. They will adapt to the experience level of the player, his strength, speed, gear, etc..

So far I barely finished level generator, but I’m not happy with it. I propably write it again from scratch, but only if I don’t run out of time.

Next thing on my TODO list : Player mechanics. But first, time for breakfast.

So yeah, my first Ludum Dare, and first game jam. I hope to make something playable. No streaming, maybe next time. I’m aiming for the compo, but I think I’ll switch to the jam because I’m not planning to rush.
