Last Day Progress

Another update on our progress. Things are coming along quite nicely now, and gameplay is starting to take shape. Gary (the main character you can see in the pictures) is now fully animated and working in game. We will be showing some gameplay screenshots soon, but for now heres cgmonkeys concept art and our menu screen. Hope you like them!

We’re a 3 man team working on a game about a kid who’s always causing trouble because he’s a little monster. The game takes place on a cruise ship, with goals and puzzles to be accomplished to annoy the passengers. His name is Gary, modeled and soon to be animated by cgmonkey. Progress is steady on the character controller, and puzzles will be implemented soon after.

He’s finished modeling a generic adult model to be used for the ships passengers too.

Meanwhile I’m working on environment assets. Assets for the first area are mainly finished and uv’d, and Im beginning to work on textures and materials.

This is my first Ludum Dare so it’s going to be messy. I want to try and keep it simple, and get all the most important parts done on the first day so that I can use the second day for polishing, but that probably wont happen. 😛

I’ll be using Unity, MonoDevelop, Photoshop, probably Reaper for audio and music and 3Ds Max if I decide to go 3D.

I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.
