I had to see my mother to the emergency department. I spent the whole day there, so I couldn’t work on my game for the Compo, and I don’t have the time to finish it for the Jam.
Guess there won’t be an entry from me again!

After two restarts, I’m actually getting somewhere!
Despite what it looks like and what the title suggests, this won’t be a Donkey Kong thing.
I really like this theme! Looking forward to seeing what peeps make out of it.
Going with Game Maker 8 and sfxr as usual. Time to make a video game.
Missed last two compos due to me being incompetent at making games, so I’ll hopefully actually do something this time around.
I ended up not getting enough work done to release my game, and I wasn’t really enjoying myself making it this time around. Maybe next time?
Well, here’s a screenshot I never posted I guess. Might reuse the art for another game if I desire.
That aside, it’s been really neat seeing all the different interpretations of the theme people had. I hope to try and participate again sometime August when the next contest comes.
Looks like our little disembodied friend’s got some items!
Not much going on, but hey, I can start on the gameplay now.
Friday’s almost over, and I can at least say I have something moving. A guy you can control and a guy which moves on its own. Radical.
It’s pretty much determined that it’s going to be a roguelike now. Have a story in mind, but it’s not final yet, so I won’t share it yet.
Not sure where I’m going with this. Pretty much leaning on roguelike, but it may become something else?
Going into the Compo with Game Maker 8 and sfxr as usual, with Picke for art stuff.
Uh, yeah. Not much else to say.
Going pretty well.
There’s a controllable character, but it’s not shown here.
May as well say I’m in. Using the Game Maker 8 as usual, with sfxr for sound effects.
My game is at a point where I can start slapping down tiles and calling it a level.
I have a feeling that enemy projectiles are working.
