That's why i decided to join Ludum Dare, Plus Quill18 helped a little with that decision (his videos on YouTube).

I have worked hard,tried my best and the result is here. This will be my entry for this ludum dare. Quite positive about the result except for the fact that I wanted a little more from the gameplay.

LD36 Compo over ! How did it go??

Yesterday i finsihed my fifth ludum dare compo.

Proud as always that I am capable of creating a ‘game’ in 48 hours.

Though its nothing to some on this site who create amazing games.

Getting better every time and learning a lot. had a lot of fun this weekend.

I am in! (?my 5th time?)

I believe this is going to be my fifth time joining the ludum dare jam. And I am more desperate then ever to make an awesome game!

I’ll be using Unity 5.* again. As it is an easy to use game Engine. (At some point I will use my own game engine when i finish it ).

The rest of the tools will likely be.

  • blender
  • adobe photoshop
  • google
  • notepad++
  • anything else

hard to say  which tools I will be using ’cause mostly which tools rely on what kind of game I am making.

Did some shader testing

while trying out some different shader things i came across a cool way to make water move ‘semi-realistic’.

its a little harder to see in this ‘.gif ‘ . When actually in ‘Game’ it is certainly noticeably moving water.

pretty convincing don’t you think?? :)

been busy all day and now i am very tired. but all that work pays off, with some basic unpolished gameplay features in place for this ludumdare. all though i still got a lot to work on for tommorow as the gameplay is really rubbish . anyways here is a screenshot.

So I “kinda” claimt I wanted to use my own engine this time around. Unfortunatly I got ill this weekend. So now it’s going to be hard to finish the engine.  I also had problems with the opengl rendering wich I couldn’t get working so my definitive choice will go out to the unity game engine.

if anyone wants to help working on my game engine , then let me know and maybe i will put it on github or something…

Anyways have a wonderfull Ludumdare.

another LD. how can one not be excited? I am going to join in on the next ludum dare. where i hope to use my new game engine (wich i am coding myself right now).
hopefully i can get it all setup in 2 weeks. If not i will use the Unity Game engine to make my entry.  Anyways for thoseof you who are intrested in what i am planning on using. Here is the list of
Tools i want to use.

Tools:

-GameEngine : Zavia (Self coded engine) Or Unity
-Sounds: Audacity
-Graphics / Texture’s : Adobe Photoshop CC
-3D Models: Blender
-Language: c# / c++ depending on the gameEngine i choose to use

Yesterday has been quite a good day for me, got a lot of the features  already in the game. Today the last few and then comes bug fixing and i have to polish the game still.

After working for lets say almost 8 hours i have made my game playable. it’s far from finished but still i think i made some pretty good progress. hope the next couple of hours will be the same. here a little preview of my game.Screenshot LD33#1

I am going to join this ludum dare for the third time. I hope to have a great time building my game as always. I were very proud of the last games i made. This time tho I am going to give some update posts on how my development is going.

i am going to use the following tools:

-Unity Game engine (for 2D and 3D games whatever i will decide it to be)

Capture-Adobe Photoshop – for 2D graphics or textures.

-Audacity for audio recording.

-Blender for 3D modelling if need be.

That is my setup this time around. Hope you all have a good time and

good luck to everyone out there going to join on this event .

ohh and on the side  are what i think about the final themes and what i voted for  !

Tile map creating

Day 1 is almost completely over and now its time to go to bed. i;ve been working on the game for more then 12 hours. after a short periode of rest i will be able to finish the game in no time.

Have been working all day on my game and the end results
seem pretty decent so far. can’t wait to see the end result.
ATM i am working on some new weapon types and some other features that i want in my game.
also i got to think about a title and a story for this game. lots of work  is still to be done but i am having fun doing it!
