GIMP, SFXR and perhaps some other audio program if I time is not nope. Codewise, C++ with GLFW3, OpenGL and FMOD. Here’s my minimalist starter kit: https://github.com/qristofer/ld32 Hopefully this means I’m prepd to battle without having to fiddle for too long with the low level stuff. Not sure what to eat though… :I

I’M IN!! I’ll be doing something for LD32. Maybe I’ll use C++ and gl, maybe Lua, maybe allegro. I’ll definitely bring out the Gimp.

Loadout: GCC, the WinAPI OpenGL Hello World you get with CodeBlocks, Gimp, some audio lib not sure which. I’ll take part in the compo.

I will make everything from scratch except the font/fonts I’ll be using. You can find them here!

Last LD, I tried to make a 3D, planetary (connected worlds), proc.gen, RTS. Didn’t finish, duh, so let’s keep it simple and ugly fast this time.

Being allowed to just sit and create for an entire weekend i a privilege, no matter where in the world you are.

 

I worked really hard yesterday, but now I got stuck. I have reset my design, a terrible thing but I couldn’t move one with the old idea. Or there wasn’t really an idea, just an isometric shooter with a story conforming to the theme.

 

During the night (during “creative crisis”) I managed to write two song for the game. They are simple, but I’m really happy with them.  I think the musical inspiration comes from the NOT wanting to write more code. I didn’t expect to make anything more than just ambient noise for this. Well, I’m still not sure if I’ll be able to make the game in time, but in that case I’ll hop onto the Jam instead.

The new idea is about space.  Wish me luck. I wish you the same.  :)
