Ludum Dare is world’s biggest magic tournament.

Game-Wizards from all over the world came here to show their skills in using mysterious languages to make beautiful things to happen.

I don’t know a lot of Game-Spells.

I didn’t read a lot of Scrolls of Gamdev.

I don’t have the best Stuff-Programs.

I can only create mini Game-minions.

But in each Game I create, I try to make something different. Something different from what you can see in usual Game-Minions.

I mean… I really love usual Games. But I want my Games to surpass their conditions of Games. I want them to pass the definition of Games.

This is why, a an apprentice wizard like me will join the Ludum Dare !

– HTML5 as my book of magic Game-spells !

– Paint.net as my color scrolls !

– Notepad++ as my circle of invocation !

– CgMusic & GXSCC as my illusions ingredients !

It’s going to be hard. It’s going short. It’s going to be… awesome.

I’m here to reestablish the truth: the Ludum Dare is not as it seems !

You thought that Ludum Dare was a 48h gamejam ?  Haha, you’re wrong !

Let’s calculate :

• The ideal sleep time for a human is 10 hours a day. LD id 2-day long. 2*10 = 20 hours
• Since we’re gamedevs, we always eat pizza.  5 pizza a day is the minimum ! It was proven that the perfect time to savor a pizza is 37 minutes. 5*37 = 185 minutes = 3 hours 5 minutes
• To know the LD theme, we must waking up at midnight the 24 August. A old prophecy said that those who wake up the 24th August at midnight will catch a disease that will make you go to the bathroom every two hours.  Counting the average time used to purchase toilet paper, this is 16 minutes lost every two hours.  6*48/2 = 384 minutes = 6 hours 24 minutes.
• The sect of direct sellers has chosen to launch its massive attack “Waste Of Time Ha-Ha-Ha ” the 25th. She will ate 3 hours and 31 minutes of your time.
• The psychological consequences of what you will experience this day will make you go 2.4 times slower.

To summarize:

48h – (20h+ 3h5min + 6h24min + 3h31min) = 15 hours.

You have only 15 hours to make a game, including dressing, watching cats on the internet, sing this song playback ….

It’s impossible to make a good game for LD. But…
