So I somehow completely forgot that the Jam was this weekend. I might still make it for the compo, but only time will tell. I’ve already got a basic idea, but I’m not sure how easy it will be to implement. Regardless, I look forward to seeing everyone else’s progress!

Compo page here. I’m glad it’s over.
Just barely finished. I think it could have been a bit more interesting but I’m pretty happy with the graphical style of it. Th goal is to get to the rocket before it launches. You can get bonus time. I could have made more levels but I really didn’t have enough time at the end. Also sounds didn’t really work, don’t know why. It includes bad first time music made online. Constructive criticism welcome.
I was using Gamemaker Studio’s image editor and I guess it couldn’t handle it and ran out of memory. It corrupted the entire game. Luckily most of it was figuring stuff out, which I now know how to do, so It shouldn’t take too long to recover.
So I thought I’d show what I’ve done so far. I’m planning on having multiple stages to this, pretty much minigames. I’ve got the first one done, which is the building phase. You have to drag the stages to their correct spots and then turn it on in ten seconds. Here is the HTML5 link. Obviously just placeholder art right now, if you could even call it that. Other stages I’m planning on having: Launching, Ascent, Circularizing, Landing, Returning, and Re-Entry. I may not do all of these as it seems like a lot, but we’ll see.
T-minus 10 seconds. I’ll let you figure out what it’s about.
I really failed this one, even if i did submit it.
There was a game breaking bug and other misc bugs. the code is everywhere. It’s laggy. there’s no sound in the windows version. It doesn’t get harder because that made the game break. I finished late so i entered the jam. performance issues.
On the positive side, I think I like this games graphics the most out of all the games I’ve made. and I have a potato in mine. It’s the food crates.
I’ll try and do better next time.
After being away all day, i managed to still get a lot done. the resource graphics are done now, mostly UI i need to focus on. I still need to do the people.
Click bottom supplies to give correct amount to buyer within timer range. going over what he asks stops it and he takes it all, same if you don’t beat the timer.
Note to self: don’t forget sound.
After starting a bit late, I’ve got the basic mechanic in the game. It’s going to be one of those “order up” type games where you have to give the thing what they want. Pretty simple, or minimalistic. here’s a confusing screenshot:
How to play
-click bottom to match above, if you go over you lose all that you have clicked in money(the guy takes the extra)
-there’s a timer and you lose money for what the guy needs(again he takes it)
-If you beat it you get the resources in money
-There’s a person that’s randomly chosen on the side. purely aesthetic.
These are graphics that were made in 5 seconds, beware them.
I have some homework due at the end of the weekend and I’m away all of tomorrow. I hope to work on it tonight and tomorrow night (if i get the work done). I realize I won’t actually have any day time to work. I still look forward to other peoples games regardless.
I’ve added some more levels. Along with some more elements to play with. Enjoy
Well (I’ve started all my posts for LD25 with Well, 😛 ), I’ve finished. As I was finishing i realized there really are no levels, just the tutorial and one sandbox. I’m still happy with what I accomplished though, even though some things aren’t noticable. The Web versiion seems messed and blurs and doesn’t play sound. no idea why. So i just have the dumb Gamemaker Installer thing. Or a workshop Link. Here’s a screen and some links:
Well, ive added goats(which, naturally, are indestructible), and fixed bugs, and other stuff. Heres some pics:
Levels are being renovated. Have another sandbox level: HERE
Right click to select buttons
Left click/hold to place
People die from burning and drowning.
water+lava=steam
lava+water=obsidian
The other block kin the screen isn’t actually placeable, i was just showing it off.
Well I think I’ve got the visuals down now. the web version of the game is messed up and blurs it a bit, but if you want to play it early you’ll have to suffer. It’s not to bad. Games self explanatory, kill the guy, right click to delete/click button. left to place block. Here you go: DEMO
Well, after a couple of unsuccussful ideas i finally have one and have the engine working. The objective will be to kill the people. for now heres a sandbox level: Here
Press number keys to select the types of blocks. Click to place
Placeable
1:Block
2:Sand
3:Water-Slowly drowns guy
4:Lava-kills guy instantly
Other
Steam-formed when water is on top of lava
Obsidian-formed when lava is on top of water
Person-Randomly walks back and forth. Kill him!
well, I am starting late, but hopefully i’ll still be able to finish. If not I’ll enter the jam.
I Like the theme and I think i’ve also got an idea of what to do. Now, CODING!
