About ronsho

Aaron Oldenburg is a game developer and new media artist whose primary interest is in game rules as an expressive medium. His video and interactive work has exhibited in festivals and galleries in New York, Berlin, São Paulo and Los Angeles, including SIGGRAPH and FILE Electronic Language International Festival.

He teaches game design as an Associate Professor in University of Baltimore's Simulation and Digital Entertainment program and has an MFA from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. In October 2003 he finished two years as an HIV Health Extension Agent for the Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa.

Spent a lot of time planning last night, got up, did some more planning.  I think I’m about ready to start making something.

Here are my mechanics in a nutshell:

Stopping people from doing bad things to you is not always accomplished by the most direct method.

Making vulnerabilities inaccessible is the best shield.

Your enemies do not necessarily know they are your enemies.

“Tiny World” does play a small, but significant part… it will be more like a shrinking world.

Hi!  I didn’t think to actually post something before the event.  I’m going to try to combine this month’s theme with the theme from Experimental Gameplay Project and Super Friendship Club.  Tiny World + 101 Things + YOU.  Using Unity and maybe 3ds Max.
