In the end, I was really happy with my concept, but probably didn’t put enough time into it.
Things I’ve learned:
- Sound and music should not be done last minute
- Blender and Unity are both awkward with animation
- Even if they weren’t, I’d still be bad at it
- Test your game in fullscreen if you’re going to write post-processing effects
Hopefully I’ll put a little more time into this after the competition ends. If nothing else, I have to take out the uses of the default Unity particle texture. That shit’s just embarrassing. More puzzles would be nice too.
Anyway, now I’m going to go and sleep. Looking forward to judging a bunch of sweet games over the next few days.
