This will be my fourth Ludum Dare. I will be participating in the compo.
Last time I made Squishy’s Escape.

I hope the theme will be good and I will be able to create a finished game before the end.

Breakable blocks and Spikes

Added wall jumping,  spikes, water and breakable blocks to the game. Still no levels so I really need to start on that now and also find some time to create sound and music. Hopefully I’ll have enough time for all of it :)

Fresh Start

My first idea turned out to be too big to complete in 48 hours so I started over this afternoon. This is what I have so far:

So it will be a platformer and you can change into different shapes to help you complete the levels. Still a lot of work to do, but I think I can finish this idea on time.

This will be the fourth time I’ll be participating in the Ludum Dare compo. I didn’t finish my game in the last two entries so I’m hoping to end up with a playable game this time.

Engine: Haxeflixel
Art: Photoshop
Sound: Bfxr
Music: Fl Studio (if I have time to put music in).

Progress after day one

This is my progress after day 1. Most mechanics are in. You have to scare the people to death. You can only do this when you are behind them so they can’t see you. If they see you they will attack!

Still a lot to do but it’s getting there.

I participated for the first time last year in LD30. I have time off this weekend to join for the second time!

I will be using javascript/Phaser.js for the language/library. Gimp for the art and BFXR for sound. Hopefully it will be an interesting theme and I’m able to make a playable game in 48 hours.

Time for another update

I spent the morning and most of the afternoon creating sprite animations and tiles but the game looks a lot better now. Next will be finishing the level, creating a menu and adding sound and music. Still almost 10 hours left so I hope I can get it done.

I have most of the game mechanics working now. World switching has to be done when standing on the switcher. Still a lot of stuff to do but now it is time to go to sleep.

The mechanic for my game. You have to change back and forth between 4 worlds to collect everything and complete the level.

I have the basic character movement and world rotation working.

I’m joining for the first time. Hope I can come up with something decent in 48 hours. I’m not the most experienced but I’ve made a few games.

I will be using:

  • Unity 4.5 with a few plugins probably.
  • Pixlr.com for art
  • Fl Studio and BFXR for sound.

It’s going to be a lot of fun this weekend!
