Had some time tonight with nothing going on, figured I’d make a simple background to motivate me. Should be easy to colorize it to your favorite color. Enjoy!

Under-prepared, but ready to go

Will be joining this LD. We’ll see what I end up producing by the end, may be something playable, but I more just want to have fun making making something this weekend. This will be my fourth(?) LD.

Using Unity as it is my goto engine, but I’ll be trying out PyxelEdit as well as a number of apps for iPad that I haven’t used much.

You’d think I would have learned that working all week and then spending all weekend doing even more work was a really great way to burn myself out, but I just can’t seem to stay away. I’ll be competing in the compo again this time. Running about the same setup as last time:

Engine: Unity 4.5 (2D/3D)

Graphics: Blender, Gimp, Krita

Audio: Bfxr, Audacity

Music: Korg M01D (3DS), Guitar/Bass through Korg Pandora PX5D

Almost forgot to include the standard assets package I’ll be using. It’s something I’ve built up since the last LD that just contains simple scripts, fonts and test assets that I seem to re-implement in every LD.

I managed to finish my entry this time with a little bit of wiggle room and boy am I relieved. I may not have gotten a chance to implement EVERY feature I wanted in the game, but it at least looks, feels, and sounds like a game.

I hope everyone is proud of the work you did, and I can’t wait to try out some of the awesome looking games that came out of this LD!

Now go get some sleep!

I’m excited to be participating in the LD 29 compo this weekend and I’ve been a rush to get all my tools in order. Made a lot of modifications to my workflow since my MiniLD #48 entry. This time around I’m sticking with Unity, but the assorted other tools have changed a little:

Engine: Unity 4.3 (2D/3D)

Graphics: Blender, Gimp, Krita, Graphics Gale

Audio: Bfxr, Audacity

Music: Korg M01D (3DS), Guitar wired through a Korg Pandora PX5D, FL Studio 11 demo (as needed)

Hopefully my first real LD will go off without a hitch and I wish everyone the best of luck!
