So we are making good progress with our Jam entry “ShapeShifter”, where you will be a doing drag races by shifting into the right gears in correct order. The only labels for you gears will be strange shapes, that you will have to memorize in Simon game like manner.

We’re in!

Me, ChaosChaot and spriteman will participate in the Jam again. Been a while since the last time we joined the fun.

We’ll use the Löve2D Engine for the Job!

So I just try to give our team’s entry a last kick of attention in hope for a few more votes.
If you have not played it yet, give Banana TV a try, before voting ends. :)

Something to show

Here is something to show what we are going for with our jam game.
The player will decide which TV-Clips to show, based on clue items in the living room.
The items will indicate who might be most likely to be watching TV, and the player has to decide the next few TV-Shows that will be screened.
Based on the audience, different genres will result in different reactions.
The little baby might not be too happy about a chainsaw massacre, for example. 😀

I’m in! For real this time! Hopefully…

Another year, another try.

I will try to participate in this LD, but just like the last 2 years, I will not be able to use the whole 48/72 hours.
If I find some spare time in the next two weeks, I will also try to do some Preparation

My tools:

Language: Lua (either CraftStudio or Löve2D)
IDE:
CraftStudio or ZeroBrane Studio for Löve2D
Sound:
most likely sfxr or bfxr
Music:
still not decided on this one. Maybe GarageBand on the iPad
Graphics:
Paint.NET and maybe Pixelesque on Android

I’m in… probably

This is the first LD I attend! … well, actually it’s not. I tried to attend the last one, but it was on the same weekend as the Minecraft ModJam. And I just wasn’t able to do both.

I’ll try to do it this time. Although I’m pretty ill right now. Which means that I’ll probably don’t do it… meh.

Well, if I manage to make it, I’ll use plain Java, or the LWJGL.

Double the compos, double the fun! (I’m in.)

So it seems that I will be attending LD for the first time.
I’m going to use plain ol’ Java for this, without any external libs.

The reason for this is that I will also be attending the Minecraft ModJam… for the first time too.

I should see a doctor, I believe… Neither did I create a Minecraft mod before, nor a whole game…

First time attending… getting excited for LD #28

Finnaly after years of watching LD after LD, I will give it a try.

I am a planning to use Java (as I’m developing Java software for a living) or LÖVE for coding.

Can you recommend some helpful Java libraries for the compo, or point me to a nice LÖVE tutorial?
(Haven’t actually used LÖVE until now, but I know how to code in Lua… well at least I think I know how to do it…)

If you have any general advice for an LD newbie, I would appreciate to read it! :)
