We have gathered the team, and we are doing reparations for our entry at Ludum dare #26.
Last time (At Ludum Dare #23) we programmed in C# and XNA, but this time we will make an attempt at HaxePunk and Flash. The programming guys are getting started with frameworks and all that good stuff, while the rest of us keep our feet high and recharge our batteries to get ready.
We have gathered the same team as last time:
dj_pale – Code framework and game mechanics
Sudde Abrahamsson – Game mechanics and misc coding
Skurk – Music and sound effects
Plink – Graphics and animations
Notepid – Project management and all that stuff
Last time we used TFS for version control, since we used Visual Studio as IDE. That worked, but was quite the overkill for what we needed. This time we will use GIT with SparkleShare as an overlay to ease the commit process for asset makers. We could have used Dropbox for this, but I do not want to waste my quota
For project management we are going to use Trello. Its a nice, and free, web based tool for organizing stuff. I guess not everyone on the team will be using that tool, but from a project management aspect its a nice and easy tool to keep basic tracking of tasks.
We have a few nifty ideas for what we are going to make, but that, of course, depends heavily on the theme we get.
