Starting with Modeling

Sunday, August 28th, 2016 10:11 am

Hi all,

So suddenly realized that I haven’t posted anything for my game yet.

I have been extremely busy with getting the game play and state engine working,
and now I can say I am very happy with what I have done.

Just started modeling in Blender and going good so far.

Good developing to everyone for the rest of the time.

I will be using:
– Unity 5.4
– Blender
– Gimp
– Voice and other stuff for sound

I want to try the Low Poly design for what ever game I make.

I also hope to target the following platforms (PC, Mac, Android, Web)

Also here is my warmup weekend entry: Endless Runner

Results after Day one

Saturday, August 22nd, 2015 11:18 am

I am still not sure if this is going to be my final game but yeah, I got something going at least.

tGiant is ready for 48 hours!!!

Thursday, August 20th, 2015 1:10 am

Like entrants here I have to post this.

I AM IN… (well for at least 24 hours of the 48)

Tools I will be using:
Engine: jMonkeyEngine3.0
Framework: Galago
Art if 2D: PyxelEdit
Art if 3D: Blender
Drawing: Gimp
Sound: Audacity, and Voice recording

Well, I am very exited about this one.

I have one personal challenge and that is to have some proper 6 hours of sleep each night.
This means that I have to get a very simple game concept.

Good luck all!

So last night I implemented Joystick support for my entry “Dimension Drifter” to the MiniLD#59.

My entry page is here with the latest version: Dimension Drifter entry page

Here are some new screenshots:

Dimension Drifter (MiniLD#59) second preview

Friday, May 29th, 2015 5:42 am

Hi all,
I made some good progress last night with my game Dimension Drifter.
I finally have a nice UI look and feel. Also added keyboard key support for the menu’s.
So with no further ado here is the video:

O yeah and here is my sprite sheet:

Dimension Drifter (MiniLD#59 entry) first view

Thursday, May 28th, 2015 1:10 am

Here is a very first view of the game I am doing for MiniLD #59.
I wanted to go 2D and make a plat-former adventure/puzzle game.

Release 1:
The idea behind this game is that you the player are in this multi dimensional universe.
You can travel to a different dimension by going into the exit portal.
Each exit portal has a entrance portal into another dimension/universe.
The only way you can get to the exit portal is to navigate successfully through each level.

Release 2:
For the second release of the game I want to give the player the option to edit or create his own level in a specific dimension.
Then all levels created by players around the world will be linked together and so give the player the change to play other peoples levels.
This can open endless opportunities.

For now here is a preview of my game so far:

Zombie Apocalypse in Compo

Monday, April 20th, 2015 3:34 am

I finally woke up after a ruff 2 days and can now share my game via this post.
And with no further ado this is what 6 hours of sleep in 48 hour will give you.
