Even more progress!

Hey everyone!

Yesterday evening we took a break and today after we’ve studied our tests for school tomorrow, we”ll continue again on our game!
Right now, 4 player controls are in and the room is fully finished.
Also 2 objectives are in already and we’re planning to add a few more.
We still have to do the HUD, menu screens and some sound effects.

Progress has been made!

A little update about our game for now:

We’ve decided to implement a local-pc multiplayer and I’ll start with it right after posting this post.
Also collision and hitboxes are fully implemented now and work all perfectly.

A little preview of the progress in our room:

The game is going to consist of multiple smaller games in rounds and a player can win points by winning such minigame, while still everyone is in the same room.
The real pain in the *ss is going to be the music, but we’ll look into that later.

We’re in!

My friend (Maurice) and I are going to participate on our first LD, we’re pumped to start!

Luckily we kind of liked the theme and had an idea where you are in a room and you have to do certain simple tasks and objectives to earn points.
We’re probably going to add local pc multiplayer to it to add a competitive side to the game when you’re playing with friends.

We’ve started at 8.30am CST, so thats 5 hours later then the theme got released because we decided we were just going to sleep first and go out of our beds a bit earlier (than regular).

I’ve been busy with the game engine and the foundation is there, and he has been designing the characters and is now busy with creating the actual room/level.
