Thank you all who tuned into the stream, I had a lot of fun playing the submissions.
There is still a second round of games Id like to play through much later tonight, I so will get to them.
Who knew id get so much participants, I was honestly expecting like a handful of people and then having to browse through them myself.

Ludum Dare Update

Hi guys!

first post here for an update. Been streaming most of the time (17 hours in total D^:)

here is what I have so far:
-spider ai that slows you down
-lizard tanky creature
-options to attack between a club and a spear (art still missing)
-health system based on torch light that limits visibilty as you get weaker

I’m extremely happy with the results for my First Ludum Dare.
but I do remember reading something  said in a post earlier that I want to keep in mind: “Maybe your life isn’t defined on by how good of a game you can make in 48h”

And it’s true, whether you did good or not doesn’t matter, what I think that matters the most is what you learned from this experience, and I can defintiely say I learned a lot, and I can only hope for my next game to be better. In the end, that is what this competition is really about, bettering yourself!

Thank you all for taking the time to play and rating my game! (I know it’s a pain in the butt if you have to download stuff lol)
Congratulations to everyone and I will see you in 36!!

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to give my final thanks to everyone who played and rated my game (even if you didn’t like it D^: )

This was my first published game, and it really was quite an experience! It was so much fun seeing everyone play something I had created (and breaking it lol). I learned how important gameplay testing is, and how important time management is. Most of all, prioritizing. If I hadn’t forced myself deadlines and cutoff points, I probably would have only had the basic game mechanic down lol……..but then again…….the music would have sounded better lol

Anywho!
If you haven’t already, give it a shot below, and don’t forget to rate it! It’s so close to 100!

Thanks again, you will see me for sure at 36!

Update w/Easter egg

***UPDATE 4-23-2016***
I’ve changed a few things to the game:
Turned off excessive motionblur
Adjusted the last puzzle to avoid glitches and to be solvable
Fixed being able to spawn in tight areas and getting stuck
Made final tree jump path less frustrating
Added a secret easter egg room (just for kicks)

If you haven’t played it yet, quit monkeying around and give it a shot!

Finally finished.
That was definitely a lot tougher and tiring than I thought it would be.
I can finally go sleep

Water Update

I couldn’t get one of the switches to work………so I designed a prop heavy enough to activate it

Also props to Seth_senpai for showing me that free sfx link. It saved me a ton of time
I still fear that in the end, my game is going to be really short :^C

headaches, music, and other updates

Hey everyone, new update:

Fixed bug where “Munk” couldn’t shapeshift into duplicate objects (if there was 4 barrels in a room, Munk could only transform into one of them)
Added icon that indicates what item you have saved up.
improved environment quality by like 5% lol
spend a considerable amount of time in FLStudio making a song……with little success
Provided a music mute input for above reason lol
Added movement speed adjustment based off of size of prop

Next up:
I will find a way to make sound effects from FLStudio
add more puzzles
and if i have more time, perhaps model a few more assets to make environment seem full

Things done so far:
Added simple animation and hooked it up to an Animation blueprint
Made simple texture for wall
Add a system that recognizes the items the player clicks on
Made simple assets for that system

My next step is to actually change into the desired object.

As soon as I woke up i check the theme and started thinking of stuff. since there is little time i’m going with the first thing that pops up in my head.
A monkey that has to shapeshift into a pandas domain.
