Calling it a night

I’ve got most of the core functionality¬†for my game finished. I’m doing a text-based game (because I suck at teh artz).

All the buttons work. Now I just need to get it to transition from scene to scene properly, and then I can just work on level building. All in all, I’m pretty happy with my progress so far.

I will once again participate in the upcoming Ludum Dare compo.

This time, I will try to work with Unity, though I may default back to Eclipse and Java.

I will use GIMP or Paint.NET to create images, and I may use Audacity or a similar program to create sounds.

After watching the previous two Ludum Dare competitions livestreamed, I have decided to make an attempt this time around.

The software I will probably be using:

  • GIMP/Blender/Maya for art and models
  • If I do a graphical game, Unity
  • If I do a text-based game, Eclipse
  • OBS/Audacity/Windows Movie Maker/sfxr for audio and video
