Hey all, congrats to the compo developers, and good luck to all you jammers!

This was my first Ludum Dare, and I’m proud that I finished on time, and I had a blast doing it. I did the compo, and submitted last night, but was too tired to post then. So without further ado…

The game is called Gift of the Gods. It’s about an average joe that drops his keys down a drain, and has to head underground to get them back. He meets an ancient god that bestows random household items on him to fight his way to the bottom.

I made this in Unity 5, using C#. You can look at my terrifying source code if you want, but BE WARNED. Lots of dirty dirty hacks were made to get this working that should never have seen the light of day! I used Piskel for art, Reaper and JFXR for audio, and two third party tools – AutoTileGen  and A* Pathfinding Project. And yes, the voiceovers were mine, just pitched down and compressed to hell. I wanted that Unreal Tournament vibe going on.

Anyway, enjoy! I’m excited to start playing everyone’s games 😀

Hey all,

LD 32 will be my first Game Jam of any kind and I’m stoked for it. I’m waist deep in a game project right now and doing this jam should be a nice breath of fresh air, allowing me to work on something completely different, and then attack my game with renewed enthusiasm after.

I’ll be doing the compo, because I like stress and deadlines and being a little competitive sounds awesome. Oh and best of luck to everybody!
