Once more, I shall Dare to Ludum. This time I made sure that nothing gets in my way so I can Ludum properly.

Weapons of choice:

  • Unity or HaxeFlixel, depends on the idea.
  • Paint.net
  • Blender
  • Sketch-Up
  • GarageBand
  • sfxr or some derivative like cfxr

And that’s pretty much it. Hope you all have a great Ludum Dare :)

About a week has passed already, so I decided to polish up a little my LD26 entry, following the feedback I received in the comments:

  • Made movement smoother.
  • Fixed dumb crash when clicking the mouse outside of a fight.
  • Added WASD movement.

I’m also making the instructions a little more detailed, but it’s hard to it without spoling the game. It’s a game for players who like to explore and experiment :)

So, my current ToDo list:

  • Fix character progression.
  • Give proper feedback during fights.
  • Fix sound bug (no idea, using a third party lib).

I’d like to get the game a little more polished before abandoning it πŸ˜›

He’s been keeping me company for many hours already, but he finally fell asleep πŸ˜›

Combat system is ready, random encounters too, little things here and there to get a gameplay-complete build. Next up, make some graphics and music!

You can finally move through Babel’s different floors and even win the tower. Now I only need to put enemies and combat πŸ˜€
