This LD is starting to shape up!  Here is a playable demo of what I am working on.

 

While my chances of finishing are starting to diminish, I am still stoked on the idea.  It’s a turn-based game in a post-apocolyptic world.  Each turn you plan where you are running to and when you will take two actions.  Your actions can be: Attack, Dodge, Search, Craft and Swap Weapons.  I really didn’t think that this was going to be as much as it is on the coding side for me.  Hindsight is 20-20!

3rd LD.  Always stoked to be part of it.  My first two went well allowing me to actually finish some games, but unity will by my main dev tool of choice, and my familiarity with it might hamper me significantly.  Fingers crossed.  Flashpunk will be my fallback.

Language/Tool Set: C#/Unity3d or AS3/FlashDevelop

Libraries: ex2d, itween or flashpunk and flod

Graphics: Gimp, GraphicsGale, Blender

Audio: sfxr, Audacity, MilkyTracker, Sunvox

This is my second LD and I am very excited with what I came up with.

Play as Alec and wrangle the dinosaurs onto the goal planet.

I was hoping to make about 10 more levels and to incorporate the story into it before the end but alas, the time limit got the best of me.

As my second LD I am excited.  Last time I finished my game which was quite the feat for me.  This time I have more tricks up my sleeve so all I need to do is keep the scope realistic.

 

Language: Actionscript.

Library’s: Flashpunk, OgmoPunk, SpriterAs3

Tools: FlashDevelop, Inkscape, Spriter, sfxr, Audacity and maybe a something for tunes….

Stoke Level: immeasureable.

First.  I finished my entry on time.  Second.  I had NO idea that I could make a game in a weekend.  Third.  I LOVE this game.  It brings me back to when I was obsessed with Gradius.  Fourth. Thank you to the people that made this possible because it was a real treat to be able to take part in it.

This competition really is incredible.  Not only do the participants get a chance to show off their skills, they also are learning the entire time.  This compo I started with the code from this flashpunk tutorial as my base and ended up with a game that I am definitely satisfied with.  You can play it here for now.  You can definitely count me in for the next compo.
