About martian712

Discovered I loved programming and coding when I took my first computer science class in Sophomore year of high school. It used the "Alice" tool made by the late, great Randy Pausch. Anyway, I am now at Miami University in CSE and games are a big passion of mine. Especially indie games.

Well, I haven’t really done that much coding on my end. Helped with Ideas and art and a little code but it’s mostly fsmv’s work right now. Hoping to contribute more tomorrow (I’ll actually take my Adderall tomorrow I swear!) any way, we have a randomly generated landscape using Perlin Noise, with dangerous pitfalls. More obstacles planned

Oh yeah the premise: “What if the humans had a competing species in the race to being the dominant species on the planet? Enter you: the bunnies. You’ve been given the power of artificial selection in an attempt to challenge the humans’ reign. Thanks to the most prevalent trait of your species (You **** like bunnies) your evolution happens extremely quickly. Will you make the right choices to push your species to the top?

Your goal is to get to the end to mate with the female bunny to further evolution to make it through the next levels, fighting a growing threat.
So yeah, we have running animations for the bunny in the game, and we have a HUGE list of stuff to do as we flesh out more of the actual design.

Prepare for Unforeseen Consequences

“Prepare for unforeseen consequences”

Yes Yes Yes!!! However I don’t know if this would be good. My only inspiration for this would either involve using copyrighted characters or cheap parodies of copyrighted characters. I could probably come up with something creative and cool for the theme, both in story and gameplay, and just include a little easter egg there. But I feel like a TON of people would be doing Half-Life related things if this was the theme.

I’m in!

I AM IN!!!

I had loved the Ludum Dare projects for a while now, but never thought I was up for the challenge of doing it myself. Of course my friend Andy (fsmv) has been my gateway into this by asking me to join him in making a Jam game. Sounds like too much fun to pass up. Further more, we will be in my dorm room for a weekend stocked with pizza, pop and the piles of first week homework that I won’t even touch haha. Sounds like a great time! I’m pushed over the edge, I’m gonna buckle down and make my first game!
