One Room Hotel

I made it!
Here’s my game:

You are the cheeky owner of a Hotel with just one room and a bus full of blind clients just broke down in front of your #OneRoomHotel!

Use your left click and right click to build walls to avoid guests from noticing each other!

Guests will keep coming from time to time and for you to keep cashing in! 100€ each. But if one finds another, its game over lady!
How usurer can you get??

Featuring a “Survival” meets “Simon Says” experiment that tells the last days the lost alien Zlotix, who is trying to resupply his Mothership to return his home planet Zlotxxia, while accidentaly turning into dust the marvelous ancient paradise of Egypt and by mistake giving birth to the most amazing legends of human history, the Pyramids ><‘

Ok So this is the progress of the day.

Done:
– Procedural boards.
– Character movement
– Display resources
– Pick resources and modify the tile

 

Pending:
– Make the Mothership ask for Alien materials in a procedural symbol fashion.
– Create the Time system and add lose condition.
– Create Score screen as win condition.
– Make the mothership animation turning Egypt into a desert to gather energy and turn everything into stone while teleporting into the hyperspace (Most likely gonna cut this baby T-T)
– Create the music!! omg I had completely forgoten about this. Actually I have a song in my mind, if I cannot go and create it I will just sing it to my recorder and paste it into the game ^^
– Improve procedural boards to have provide always the same quality tiles.

Zlotxx Adventure - Sunday Build

Day #0.5 (Mostly recovered from week crunch and started thinking on the idea)
I was going to make a different game with my friend but unfortunatelly he had to go because a familiar got seriously ill. I nevertheless started a different entry on my own, ^^ lets see what happens here. The game:

“Zlotxx Last Adventure”.

Featuring a “Survival” meets “Simon Says” experiment that tells the last days the lost alien Zlotix, who is trying to resupply his spaceship and come back to his home planet Zlotxxia, while giving birth to the most amazing legends of humanity by mistake. ><‘

Original  Gameplay idea:

– Simon Says: The space ship will ask for Zlotxxian energy shards, but as you are not in Zlottxia you will need to find things of the same color in order to satisfy its energetic needs.

– Survival: The space ship has limited patience, and incompetent pilots won’t be tolerated. If Zlotxx doesn’t manage to supply the spaceship in time, it will start automatic mode to extract energy from the environment itself, lefting Zlottix out to die.

Elements:

– Time: generates water.

– Water: Grants blue energy.

– Grass: Grants green energy.

– Herbivore: Grants brown energy.

– Carnivores: Grants red energy.

 

Generation

– Water will flow, Grass will grow, and animals will come around as the environment thrives.

– Every time Zlotxx gathers a resource, it will disappear.

Probably gonna cut much of the stuff because of time and previous “job-crunch + indie-project-at-night” tireness, but still gonna have a great time! 😀

Hi, this is Manu Saiz, representing our team:

 

Camilla Nara: 2D Art/animation.

Kilian Calo: Code (1st jam survived!).

Manu: Music/UI/Design/Production.

 

We made a free interpretation of  the shapeshifting theme, basing on the change of shape, body, and even a changing of sides in a conflict.

Our Game takes place in a medieval city, where the King has become mad, and claimed the wealth of the cleric district for himself as “the only god among men should be the king” – he says.

The insane monarch forced his loyal musketeers to raid and loot the cleric district, anihilating all the poor servants of god in the process.

You are one of the few survivors of the monastery, but you are on the edge of life and death. With your last breath, you manage to open a secret keep in the deep depths of the monastery, and handle the Forbidden Grimmory of The Lich.

The curse tainted your heart as you pronounce the unspeakable words, your flesh tears by invisible threads, and your whole body cries in terrible pain for hours. But when the pain is over… It is Over forever.

Your face is white as a skull, light as an empty cocoon, only capable of a single thought: Exterminate the King and all his minions with guns.

(Our original intention was including this as a shirt animatic but run out of time. Also Game needs polish)

Hi, this is Manu Saiz, I am a self taught game design student.

 

It is 4.00 am in Spain, so I will soon go get some sleep.

I am making a game for the Compo: “PicoFrío” ( ColdPeck ) must dodge ice turtles to find 3 shards of a beautiful image lost in the mountains. Using his light cauldrons he will try to unravel the image formed by the shards.

I am going for the COMPO. I am using Game Maker and all art and code is being made by myself, although I am checking some code tutorials.
