Postmortem:
What an experience. I told my brother we should put our hair on the line because we both felt this Ludum Dare was different from the previous ones. It was worth it. We have our hair, and this game is fun. This is what we hoped for.

After a long discussion when the the theme was announced, Double DeConstruction become a game I really wanted to play. Originally it was about a bulldozer on a rampage. The rule of never go with the first thing that pops in your head worked well because my second concept was better. I thought, what about a construction worker with a laser arm (like Samus Aran from Metroid) that shoots wrenches.

What went right:

• Organized very well
• Pace of progress was steady

What went wrong:

• I learned too late how well two editing programs work together. I learned something very valuable.

Or we, my brother and I, shave our heads… And let me tell you, I love my hair. Sure I’m going to donate it later, I’ve been doing it for years, but I want to have hair in the aftermath.

Games aren’t made the same way buildings are, and that’s a good thing.
