I’m in! This time I’m going to used the html-5 game framework Phaser to make a game for touch screens.
On an related note I just released my first iphone game made with Phaser and Cocoonjs. It’s called “Word Twist”. It’s crazy fun and you can download it here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/word-twist!/id906397535?l=sv&ls=1&mt=8
Hi! I just wanted to say that I’ve ported my my game “I Remember Alice” for the web, and you should now be able to play it in Chrome or firefox! Just click here to go to my entry page, or click on one of the images below.
…but I’m in! This is my fourth LD, and also fourth in a row.. I’m hooked!
Day one wasn’t very productive, I started too late and was simply lazy, but now I’m back on track and I will have a finished game tomorrow! It may be very boring, but still a game 😛
Screenshot!
Ok I’m finished! I Have only been able to work like 5 hours today, I had to do some stupid homework too, but I still managed to fix all (?) the bugs and write some lame music for it! 😀
“Mom tells you that you can only have one cookie… you disagree.”
Hi guys… I totally forgot to make an “I’m in”-post this time… but I am! In that is..
This is my third LD and also third in a row! It’s so much fun!
Anyway my game is finally finished-ish. Tomorrow I’ll finish it off with some music and perhaps another element of gameplay if I have time.
I’m using Love 2d and Illustrator just like last time.
titlescreen!
I might not have time but I’d love too, it was so much fun last time… I’ll do my best to clear my schedule!
I’m proud of what I did last time, but this time I want to make music and animations too, something I didn’t have time for last time..
wish me luck! 😀
Over 80 games played and here is my top 3 so far:
1) A thing about nothing
A visually interesting game of a philosopher traveling the world to find the meaning of it all.
It’s funny, it’s gorgeous and it’s intelligent. Very well executed.
The only let-down is the audio.
2) Hunter HungeHunter Hunger is simply about a prehistoric man trying to feed himself and his starving children. The game looks fantastic and uses interesting and well implemented game mechanics that feel very polished
3) (Follow the) Line
Press any key to change direction of the line.
For me this game is the only clear 5 in the “Theme”-category. The user input is simple, and yet doesn’t cripple the gameplay but enhances it. The graphics are minimal but still very fresh and stylish.
So, that’ll be all for me… do try these games out because they really deserve it! 😀
Oh btw.. I’m working on a post-ludumdare update for my own game.. It’s going to have animations and music and probably a few more levels.. I’ll probably finish it tomorrow..
Hello! This weekend was my first LD and it was a lot of fun, I’ll definitely join next time too! 😀
Anyway I was wondering about something…
How are the entries scored from the judging? Are the results purely based on the average rating? Wouldn’t that result in the possibility of some game that only one person voted 5 stars on being able to win even though it might be worse than say a game that has 4.78 stars and is rated by hundreds of people? Looking at past entries that seems unlikely.. all the winners are of exceptional quality! Is that because there is like a minimum of votes a game needs to taken into consideration for the final score?
There was nothing about this in the rules.. sorry if it’s been asked before, but I couldn’t find anything about it!:o
Thanks!
Linus
22 hours of development! The gameplay is 90% finished… I’ll mainly focus on designing levels tomorrow…
