I made some progress… Kinda

So after 4 hours of work a nap the took to long and another 3 hours of solving bugs, I have a game engine thingy that is ready to be used. This engine thingy is created with raw Java and features buggy inertia (its actually kinda cool), an easy way to rapidly create collidable objects, a fade in / fade out system (also pretty cool), and easy to use sound effect/music class. Here’s what I have of the game so far.


The main character is a boy named Tommy, he was recently in a car accident and is in coma.

The objective of the game is to find the light orbs that will keep you alive.

GameplayAt the bottom of the screen there is a light bar, if the bar is emptied then you die, the only way to keep the bar up is by collecting the light orbs, to find the the orbs you are required to go deeper and deeper.
The game should have very dark tone, and make the player feel lost and confused.

Well Its Worth A Try

This will be my 2nd try at a Ludum Dare, I’m going to use the default Java graphics libraries, Photoshop CS6, and  Musescore / FLStudio.

I’m in for the first time!

This is my first time doing a Ludum Dare, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish a game, but it’s worth a try! I’m going to be using Java and LWJGL to make my game and Paint.NET for my graphics.
