I’m In!

I’m jumping into Ludum Dare this month, starting up with doing something for the Warmup Weekend.

I’ve learned some things from my last entry; “RunEnder”, and now i’m feeling a whole lot more solid on what I can and can’t do in the time I have, so here’s to gamedev!

And we’re finished!

It was a rough run, but the stuff I learned along the way was invaluable.

What went wrong?

A little bit of over-ambition, and focus in the wrong places, coupled with inability to come up with efficient solutions means a lot of things had to be scrapped for time.

I also skimped on the prep time for this Ludum Dare.

What went right?

During the creation of this entry I came up with lots of ways to make my code more efficient and scripting-friendly.

Where do we go from here?

well, after some much needed R&R compared to the cramming over the past few days, I’m going to return to this project and follow it to true completion. The final product is still very much reachable; It’s just the obstacles that popped up along the way that prevented it.

Mere Hours to Go: Where do we stand?

A simple game with no true way to lose as of yet, but a way to win. A rough representation with placeholder graphics, and a final to-do list shorter than my palm.

Even if I don’t manage to submit this entry to the Jam, it’s been an awesome learning experience!

My very first official participation in the Ludum Dare event!

I’m extremely new to the gamedev scene so we’ll see where this jam goes.

I’ll be using Unity, Blender, Audacity, and C#, as well as PaintToolSAI and Paint.Net.
