I’m probably in.
Soft as usual Unity + photoshop.
I'm a fresh indie dev. I stardet learning programming in december 13. I managed to make one game until now which is SuperAwesome:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leaghorn.superAwesomeFree
It took me ~10 to make it. I started fresh, after reading a book on programming, and now after I finished it and I know a thing or two I really want to continue on making games.
Ludum Dare 34 | Ludum Dare 32 | Ludum Dare 31 |
I’m probably in.
Soft as usual Unity + photoshop.
I missed the last LD but I managed to make something this time.
The game is called Drez-eX.
I tried to use both themes and I came up with a snake game where you have to catch the orbs to get bigger and avoid red mines or they will cut you.
And then when you are long enough you can battle the boss.
Thats all I could came up whithin 20h.
Today I only added some music and sounds as I didnt do it yesterday (plus I cant do my own music).
Hope you like it.
Enjoy and cheers
I missed the last one so this time I’ll try to try
Unity, as always. Dont know about the rest…
The new day came. The last day for the Jam. I uploaded source today so everything is in its place.
I Updated the description a little so it’s more clear how to play and what is going on.
Feel free to play here:
Any feedback apreciated 😉
I also made a little wallpaper today, so if anyone’s interesdet here it is (1920×1080).
Cheers!
I made it. After ~25 hours of work I proudly present:
Charge Negative
I will share source tomorrow, as it is takes ages to upload it on DropBox and its 5 AM here. Its time to sleep.
About the game:
two ORBs (?) shoot bullets/projectiles that hurts them but heals the enemy. Catch the enemy bullets to survive. Unconventional enough? 😀
Player vs Player and Player vs Cpu available
LINK HERE
Playable On-Line – Unity player. I’ll figure out that WebGL method tomorrow.
Cheers
I don’t know if I’ll find the time but I will try
Used software is definetely Unity. IDK about the rest. Probably gimp for graphics (maybe blender). No idea about sound/music. We’ll see…
Many great themes this time. I wonder which one is gonna win
NOT ME
Well 😀 this is my first entry, and second game ever so I kinda won as i got #202 overal, #176 fun and #174 innovation which isn’t that bad I guess, considering the amount of games in competition. I dont really know what this coolness award is for, but I think I won something (a medal/coin) :D.
// yeah, I know, I lost an M in theme ;D
Anyway, it was a great expirience. I learned some new stuff while working on my game and also learned some cool ideas playing other games.
Next time I will try to compete in Compo. This time I didnt really know what this is all about. I finished my game way before compo deadline ( i did it in ~20 hours) but I didnt have any music so I tried to compose something by myself on third day, but I failed so I used someone else music. If I knew I would not be able to compose anything I would just use this music and upload the game in compo deadline. Well, next time I will know how it all works.
Thanks to all for votes and for playing my game. I hope you liked it.
If someone missed it and despite of low result would like to try, >> here you go <<.
Looking forward to next LD.
Cheers
Hey guys
Its only ~2 hours left but I dont think I’m gonna make it. I have to wake up in 6 hours (at 7:00am) so I think I need to get some sleep, but I made two Lumit themed wallpapers if you’d like.
One with Ludum Dare 31 and second one more universal with just Ludum Dare.
Resolution is 1920×1080.
Hope you like it.
I’ll look up the results in the morning. Godnight and good luck 😉
Cheers
// edit: and also two darker versions of these wallpapers. Ok. thats it. I’m going to sleep 😀 godnight…
As ingame leaderboards shows only 10 top scores, here’s full leaderboards if someone’s interested:
Over a 100 scores in Normal mode and so little in Hard and Impossible. Let’s breake some records people! 😉
(the two best scores [3rd is mine :)] in Normal mode are really impressive. I never managed to beat my 36K and the 2nd is 45K and 1st is almost 60K! Wow! I managed to get a score over 80K once but it was while developing so there must have been something different/easier then in that version)
Also, if anybody missed, I published Free mobile version of Lumit for Android (link in downloads):
http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-31/?action=preview&uid=45380
So if you missed, give it a try 😉
I also uploaded iOS version today and as soon as it get accepted I’ll let you know. I’m working on a WP version now.
And as always, enjoy! 😀
Yaaaay!
Finally managed to finish mobile version of Lumit. It is LIVE on google play store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leaghorn.lumit
Android version for now.
iOS version is also ready but there is this whole review process that I’m still figuring out.
And WP version shoud be live as soon as I learn how to publish, as I never did anything for WP (well, for iOS also).
Anyway.
I did 3 options of controls:
– accelerometer – jumping by tapping and moving by tilting
– on screen buttons – control moving and jumping using buttons
– touch pad – jump and move is dependand on where you touch the touch pad
(I personally like the accelerometer/tilt option the best)
And there are separate Leaderboards for each mode and they are separate from these on PC version, so go break the new records! 😀
I only have one phone to test it so any feedback how it works on other devices would be awesome. Any feedback would be awesome actually! 😀
So Enjoy Lumit mobile! I hope you’ll like it 😉
// of course there still is a PC version if someone missed it 😀

Hello
I just bought some second hand WP phone for WP development today and almost finished mobile version of Lumit that will be published for:
– Android
– iOS
– Windows Phone
Android version would be available probably tomorrow. iOS version may take some time with all this accepting process and stuff (I’ve never actualy uploaded anything to iOS app store so I’m not actually sure how to do it yet) and about windows phone I have to learn everything about testing on a WP phone and uploading so it might also take couple of days for WP version.
Anyway progres with the game itself is pretty much finished:
I did 3 versions of controls:
– accelerometer – jumping by tapping, moving by tilting. Indicator in the upper part shows current tilt
– buttons – left/right/jump button to move left/right/jump. Customizable position of the middle button and also position of the jump button (for left/right handed)
– touch pad – touch area at the bottom where player taps and the orbs jumps/move according to the place of tap
I tried to make the controls as comfortable as possible and as customizable as possible so anybody could find some comfortable way of playing.
I just have to tweak some little things and bugs and I will publish on android in the morning probably (it’s almost 3AM here). Then I’ll start to learn about WP and iOS development/testing/publishing.
For now feel free to play the WEB version of Lumit:

Enjoy!
Cheers 😉
One of many tries to break the record in Hard mode.
I invite everyone to try out the two new modes in Lumit, esspecialy the Hard one. Thats definetely my favourite on.
I’m supposed to be making mobile version today and I just keep wasting my time on breaking the record 😀
http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-31/?action=preview&uid=45380
Enjoy!
Based on some comment I made a Hard mode that is synched with music beat and its way harder.
I also made the Impossible mode, where not the level rotates around but gravity. Its even harder. I’m not responsible for broken necks. before using consult your doctor or pharmacist 😀
Buth new modes have new, separate Leaderboard, so go make some records 😉
So I dit it!
My first game for Ludum Dare (my second game at all).
I started saturday ~6:00PM > 8h, then ~14 hours on sunday, and the game was done before Compo deadline.
No music though, so on monday I tried to learn FL Studio a bit, but yeah… like I was going to learn FL in one day to make something worthy.
So I just used @Muciojad audio clip (really cool track).
At the very beginning I had the Idea, more or less, but my style was far different at the start:
At first I wanted to make it really silly, with LOL face bouncing around.
But then I tried to make some orbs.
And I liked it better to make it this style.
So I made some blocks:
Then just made a level surrounding
Then I thougt, since these orbs in game spit every 3 seconds, so it could be a nice effect to make a clock around the level to cound it down.
And thats how final graphics looks with that clock:
and it looks like that in motion:
Better quality preview here:

The game is Live on Web Player and for Windows/Linux.

Feel free to check it out.
It’s second game I ever created so any feedback is much apreciated.
Cheers!

Does anybody know any simple leaderbord service thats easy to implement in Unity?
I would like to store like 5-10 scores.
Could anybody reccommend something?
Please.
